Hands-On - Carl F. Bucherer Manero Peripheral 43mm (Specs & Price)
The Manero Peripheral certainly represents Carl F. Bucherer at its best. Not the most technical watch in the collection (the Tourbillon Double Peripheral holds the title) yet probably the most balanced one. Elegant, sophisticated, technically interesting and well-priced, it is a watch we've been regularly praising on MONOCHROME. Aware of the demand for larger watches in certain regions (the US market first, and since Bucherer acquired Tourneau, new opportunities opened to Carl F. Bucherer in this market), the brand introduces a larger version of its Manero Peripheral, now with a 43mm case. If they remain a rare breed, peripheral rotors are very much in vogue today. This smart technical solution offers an unhindered view of the movement together with the comfort and practicality of automatic winding. It also allows for extra-flat designs - as the Piaget Altiplano Ultimate Automatic 910P or the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Automatic attest.?The concept is not

Glashutte Original Senator Excellence Perpetual Calendar Bucherer Blue Editions (Specs & Price)
Following up with its exclusive collection of blue-coloured watches, the Bucherer “Blue Editions”, which include some pretty cool watches such as this Oris Chronograph or this Breguet Marine, major Swiss watch retailer Bucherer continues to expand its line-up with a high-end piece, this time in a limited edition, with various evolutions compared to the standard model. Say hello to the Glashutte Original Senator Excellence Perpetual Calendar Bucherer “Blue Editions”.Apart from introducing some changes to the dials or the straps, the common denominator of (almost) all the Bucherer “Blue Editions” is the use of specific blue dials – or blue details, such as the movement side of this Moser. This was the case when this whole concept began, however, as interest grows, the Swiss retailer has started to make some more dramatic changes on these watches – see the dial of this Breguet for instance, more than just a colour change. The MB&F Legacy Sequential EVO wins Aiguille d'Or GPHG 2022
Tonight the watch industry’s focus is dead-set on Geneva, as the 2022 edition of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve has just unveiled who is the grand winner of this year’s awards ceremony! Often regarded as the Oscars of Watchmaking, the GPHG stands for a celebration of all things surrounding mechanical watchmaking. A specially selected jury has narrowed down all the entries into 16 categories with 6 watches each. Out of all the entries, only one has been selected as the grand winner, receiving the coveted Aiguille d’Or trophy for Best of Show. In addition to that, each category winner also received an award. And where in the previous three years the trophy was won by a watch that pushed the envelope in terms of ultra-thinness, this year things have taken a turn in a different direction. Following the Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar last year, and the Piaget Altiplano Ultimate Concept the year before it, the 2022 Aiguille d’Or is won by MB&am
Talking to Sylvain Dolla, Tissot's CEO - Monochrome Watches
Tissot is one of the oldest brands in the portfolio of Swatch Group. Founded in 1853 by Charles-Felicien Tissot and his son, Charles-emile Tissot, it was acquired by Swatch Group in 1998 and positioned as a manufacturer of robust yet affordable watches with a sporting soul. Hugely benefitting from the Group’s resources, Tissot relies on its extensive archives to create appealing watches at accessible prices. In recent years we’ve seen some strong offerings, like the Heritage 1973 Chronograph, the Seastar 2000 Professional Powermatic 80, and the smash-hit PRX Powermatic 80.
