The Aquis Automatic 45.5 mm is another modern men's watch by Oris. It has an elegant blue dial with bold index hour markers. The hands have a luminous silver tone, which adds the right energy to the lovely blue dial. The black bezel has Arabic numerals and a silver outline to complete the blue and silver theme. The rubber strap is also blue with a distinct ORIS carved into it, making it even more impressive.

Introducing The New IWC Portofino Complete Calendar
Since its launch during the mid-1980s (with the stunning, oversized reference 5251 and its moon-phase display), the Portofino has been the most classic offering of IWC. Even more than the Portugieser, it has to be seen as the brand’s dress watch and evokes pocket watches of the past. Recently revamped, with the 39mm Chronograph model as a flagship watch, IWC has decided to give this watch what’s expected from such a collection; traditional complications. It started with a perpetual calendar, today joined by a pointer date and the elegant Portofino Complete Calendar you’ll discover here.?While having displays that can be identical, a perpetual and a complete calendar are rather different when it comes to the mechanics that sit behind the dial. Basically, each represents an end of the spectrum in the field of calendar watches. A perpetual calendar is a complex mechanism that takes into account all the oddities of our gregorian calendar (months with 28, 30 or 31 days, as
Christie's Sells the Unique F.P.Journe Rattrapante Only Watch 2017 for CHF 1,150,000 (Most Expensive F.P.Journe Ever, By Far...) - Monochrome Watches
We continue with Only Watch 2017 and the incredible prices that this charity auction is achieving. After the unique Patek Philippe 5208T sold for CHF 6.2 Million, what was under the hammer next was the unique?F.P.Journe Chronographe Monopoussoir Rattrapante, a watch created especially for the occasion of the auction – and not only unique in its style, but also featuring a movement created only for this watch, the first?Ever Split-Seconds Chronograph done by Journe, and most probably the only one, as the watchmaker said that it will remain unique. This watch just achieved?an impressive CHF 1,150,000, making it the most expensive?F.P.Journe ever auctioned… and by a long way. While in 2015, F.P.Journe created a unique watch based on an existing model, the Tourbillon Souverain, this year, for the charity auction Only Watch 2017, master watchmaker Fran?ois Paul Journe went much further in uniqueness, as he created his first ever?Rattrapante chronograph wat
First Look: The Punchy Pink Louis Erard Regulator x Sylvie Fleury
Under Manuel Emch's capable and creative leadership, Louis Erard has evolved from relative obscurity to become an exciting player on the watch scene, offering original timepieces by contemporary artists, designers and watchmakers. However, what makes Louis Erard's doubly attractive is the combination of original content with accessible prices. The notion that a handcrafted Grand Feu enamel dial is the prerogative of top-tier, outlandishly expensive brands is turned upside down at Louis Erard, effectively democratising the watch scene by bringing quality goods to more people at fair prices. Kicking off 2025 with a bold punch of colour, Louis Erard presents its latest collaboration watch with contemporary Swiss artist Sylvie Fleury.Once again, Louis Erard's Regulator watch has been singled out for the collaboration. Paradoxically, the old-school layout of 18th-century master or regulator clocks, with their separation of minutes, hours and seconds, is the most popular model for collaborat

Hands-On - Titoni Seascoper 600 Ocean Tide with Eco-Friendly strap
Our oceans are suffocating with plastic pollution. According to research, if things don’t change, the ocean will contain more plastic than fish by 2050. Something needs to be done, and by all of us. And now you might wonder what watches have to do with this issue… All initiatives, even the smallest ones, can have an impact and can help achieve a cleaner planet.?Upcycling, the idea of?transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials, is a great way to contribute to clean oceans while creating new products. The watchmaking industry can help in this process, and Swiss brand Titoni makes a valuable contribution to reducing the use of virgin raw materials with the new Ocean Tide straps of the Seascoper 600. And while we’re at it, the watch in question isn’t a bad option either.?We, humans, are unfortunately producing a lot of waste materials. I’m not blaming or judging here, and I’m part of the system too. Yet, a
