Pre SIHH 2014: Introducing the Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1931 Pink Gold Case and Chocolate-toned Dial - Monochrome Watches
Three years after introducing the first Grande Reverso Ultra-Thin Tribute to 1931, Jaeger-LeCoultre created a second pink gold version, now featuring a lovely chocolate brown dial. The full name of this watch – Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1931 Pink Gold Case and Chocolate-toned Dial – is quite a mouthful. The name might be a tongue-twister, but with these looks it can easily become a heart-breaker as well. (pre-Jaeger) LeCoultre Reverso from 1934The Reverso finds its roots in the polo game, back in the 1930’s, and has appear in many different variations over the years. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary, Jaeger-LeCoultre chose to return to the very origins by presenting the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute to 1931, which was directly inspired by the aesthetic codes of the historical model. Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze M79012M - Hands-On Review, Price
Last week, Tudor introduced a relatively bold and unexpected new watch, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze. While there’s nothing entirely unprecedented in this, as both the BB58 and the use of bronze for Tudor are known territories, the combination is new. The real deal is that this watch comes with a special bracelet and will only be available as a “boutique” edition. Following our short introducing article last week, we had the watch with us for a hands-on session. It’s time to look at this Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze in the metal. And as we said in the title, there’s a lot of metal in this watch, and it’s not steel. The evolution of the Black Bay Fifty-EightThe Black Bay itself, as a whole collection, will soon celebrate its 10 years of existence. Saying that this watch was fundamental for the current success of Tudor would be an understatement. It has been THE main element of the brand’s comeback. What was originally a one-off watch wh

Introducing Tudor Pelagos FXD Marine Nationale M25707B
In May this year, Tudor announced a (not so) new partnership with a lot of historical resonance Indeed, we're talking about a long-standing collaboration that dates back to the 1950s, when dive watches were instruments for combat divers. Yes, Tudor has renewed its partnership with the Marine National (of the French Navy), bringing back a military connection that gave birth to some of the most collectable vintage watches of the brand. And now, it's time for the dedicated watch to surface, based on the Pelagos, and updated with multiple tweaks. And yes, the M.N. engraving on the back is present! Here's the new Tudor Pelagos FXD Marine Nationale. Just like mothership , Tudor has long been involved with military forces. Following the creation of the Submariner in 1953, started to develop more accessible models under Tudor branding (in 1954 to be precise), which quickly caught the attention of the Marine Nationale. The French Navy started early to collaborate with
