This particular watch speaks of royalty and luxury, which is bound to rock any outfit and event to give you a handsome look. Packed in a stainless-steel casing and bracelet, you are assured of the longevity and sturdiness of this timepiece. Defined edges, sharp lines, and a military green color are coupled wonderfully with the luminous gold-toned hands and markers, directly readable from a sapphire crystal. Introducing the IWC Portofino Midsize Collection and Three Portofino Automatics with Diamond-set Bezel (lots of live photos) - Monochrome Watches
At the Watches & Wonders fair that starts today in Hong Kong, IWC adds no less than 20 new models to the Portofino collection. There are seventeen new midsize models, all adorned with diamonds, and three new version of the 40mm Portofino Automatic, now in new 18K red or white gold and 72 diamonds set on the bezel. Most models come on beautiful hand-made leather Santoni straps, and two come on an extra fine Milanese mesh bracelet. And there are two models equipped with a second time zone and five with a moonphase. The Portofino collection just grew by 600%, from 4 models to 24. Last week we got an exclusive preview of the new Portofino models, before they were shipped to Hong Kong for the Watches & Wonders fair. This fair is becoming more and more important and we see more new models being presented especially for this fair, which is visited both by professionals as well as end-customers. Christiaan Knoop, IWC’s creative director, spoke to us about these new additions to t
Timex Marlin Automatic, An Affordable Dress/Casual Timex with Vintage Touch (Specs & price)
You probably don't think of Timex as a luxury watch company.? It’s among the most recognizable watch brands in history with a reputation for both affordability and reliability, and it never needed a four-figure timepiece to get there. Timex is also known as being a king of quartz, abandoning mechanical movements over a quarter century ago in 1982. It finally bucked that trend last year with the hand-wound Timex Marlin reissue that faithfully replicated a piece from the 1960's, right down to the (small) 34mm case and retro styling. It's an interesting watch and generated a lot of excitement, but the old-school size and Chinese movement were turnoffs for some. The new Marlin Automatics are a different beast altogether with contemporary 40mm cases and proven Japanese Miyota movements. It's a clean, refined series that helps reinforce the fact that a small fortune isn't required to wear a classy dress watch. Let's take a closer look at the new Timex Marlin Automatics.BACKGROUND/HISTO
Chopard Alpine Eagle Cadence 8HF Titanium - Hands-On, Price
The luxury sports watch with integrated bracelet is all the rage at the moment. The Alpine Eagle, Chopard's take on the genre, is a modern, state-of-the-art reinterpretation of the 1980s Saint-Moritz. Unveiled two years ago, the model is now released in a 250-piece limited edition powered by a high-tech 8Hz high-frequency automatic movement. Here's the Chopard Alpine Eagle Cadence 8HF in Titanium. While most mechanical wristwatches usually tick between 2.5Hz and 4Hz, high-frequency movements ticking at 5Hz and over are widely considered to improve the precision and stability of movements (even if, naturally, precision and stability are not solely related to frequency). Chopard has been conducting research in the field for years. The brand released its first experimental watch ticking at an impressive 8Hz as early as 2012 with the L.U.C 8HF powered by the L.U.C 01.06-L calibre. Ad - Scroll to continue with article

Hublot counts Yannick Alleno, Anne-Sophie Pic, Clare Smyth, and Andreas Caminada among its ambassadors. Caminada, awarded 19 Gault & Millau points in 2009 and 3 Michelin stars in 2011, practices his culinary art at Schauenstein Castle in the village of Furstenau, Switzerland. The Swiss chef has partnered with Hublot since 2017. Today, this partnership reaches a new level with a special collaboration celebrating his 20 years at the castle – the Big Bang Unico All Black Schloss Schauenstein. As its name suggests, the celebratory Big Bang comes in an all-black design featuring a 42mm micro-blasted ceramic case. The bezel is crafted from ceramic too. Together with the satin-finished and micro-blasted black-p
Longines Heritage Classic Black Sector Dial (Specs & Price)
Longines is well-known for being one of the most prolific brands when it comes to paying tribute to its past, and reissuing some of its most glorious vintage models. All positioned under the “Heritage” collection, there is one watch in this range that made quite some noise when introduced back in 2019, the Longines Heritage Classic Sector Dial. Compact, faithful, elegant and playing on 1930s inspirations, it was an immediate success. Following the silver edition, the winged hourglass?comes back this year with a new model. Meet the Longines Heritage Classic Black Sector Dial, and with the option for a cool beads of rice bracelet. The Longines Heritage Classic is a watch that boasts all the elements of a typical?1930s piece. Think Calatrava-styled case with stepped bezel, straight lugs, two-tone dial with a so-called sector, combining markers and Arabic numerals, clean hands and a central crosshair… No need to mention that such vintage watches are now highly sought-after
