One more design from Oris' Divers series, the Oris Divers Sixty-Five Automatic Black Dial Men's Watch contains a robust Oris Calibre 733, base SW 200-1 with automatic movements that allow it to run smoothly and efficiently. Further, the dial of this watch is very stunning. It has a black appearance and is marked with luminous rose gold-tone hands and dot markings in order to display a beautiful combination. It is covered by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal that not only adds to the look but also protects the dial.

Collector's Series - The Christiaan Van der Klaauw Planetarium 2000
Watch collectors are kinda crazy, of course, but it's a nice kind of crazy' says Mr. Alias, a 45 years old entrepreneur from the Netherlands. His collection is eclectic and whenever he no longer wears a watch it is mercilessly discarded. His love for the technique, craftsmanship, and the painstaking devotion high-end watchmakers display, however, keeps him eternally intrigued by the world of watchmaking. One of his most interesting complication watches is the Christiaan Van der Klaauw Planetarium 2000 he bought in 2012. “This infatuation will never pass,” he said to me…Note: Mr. Alias is not currently in possession of his Planetarium, because I am wearing it. In a brotherly whim of trust, we have exchanged our Christiaan Van der Klaauw watches so we can wear each other's watch for a couple of weeks. The author’s CDvK Eclipse on the left, with the Church and Windmill (can’t be more Dutch than that…) and Mr. Alias’ CDvK Planetarium on the rightFra
Hands-On - Girard-Perregaux Laureato 42mm Pink Gold & Onyx
The fifth generation of the Laureato, the Girard-Perregaux's take on the luxury sports watch with an integrated bracelet, was launched in 2017 as a permanent collection, following a limited edition model presented in 2016. This modern evolution of the model has turned the Laureato into the brand's best-selling collection. We are taking a closer look at one of the most luxurious iterations of the model, standing out for its attractive pink gold case and bracelet, complemented by a deep and exquisite black onyx dial. And to understand this model even better, we’ll also be recapping the model’s history.?The History of the Girard-Perregaux LaureatoThe Girard-Perregaux Laureato was one of the precursors of the luxury sports watch category and appeared in 1975, just three years after Audemars Piguet's trailblazing Royal Oak, and a year before the other icon, the Patek Philippe Nautilus. The brand's historian, Willy Schweizer, explains that the design with an octagonal bezel and t
Hands-On - Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Norton Motorcycles Edition (Specs & Price)
Breitling announced its partnership with British motorcycle maker Norton in 2018 and the fruit of this collaboration is a double whammy treat for bikers and watch lovers alike. Released in tandem during Baselworld 2019, Breitling unveiled its Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Norton Edition watch while Norton revved up the 961cc engine of its Norton Commando 961 Cafe Racer MKII Breitling Limited Edition Motorcycle. We were lucky enough to have some hands-on time with the watch seriously hoping this might lead to a seats-on session with the bike!BackgroundSince he took over Breitling in 2017, Georges Kern has been keen on stretching the confines of the brand beyond the traditional aviation associations. He also realised the potential of dipping into archive material (the controversial Navitimer 8 based on the long-extinct Bretiling Huit Department of Aviation Instruments), reinterpreting classics (Navitimer 1 – without a chronograph!) and tapping into the current rage for retro with fait
Hands-On: The Downsized 2023 Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph
Chopard has been the official sponsor and timekeeper of Italy's Mille Miglia since 1988, and co-president Karl-Friedrich Scheufele has participated in every race from 1989, covering over 30,000 competition miles. In fact, this has been the longest partnership in history between a watchmaker and a major motorsports event, and 35 previous watches in the Mille Miglia collection consolidate this link. The latest Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph models were inspired by the event's classic cars with distinctive features on the cases, dials and straps. The watches are also smaller for 2023 and produced in a new, exclusive material.?Unlike prior models, like the 42mm Mille Miglia 2020 Race Edition, the new models have a more compact design at 40.5mm in diameter and 12.88mm in height (slightly thicker than the 2020 model's 12.67mm). It also comes in anti-allergenic, brushed and polished Lucent Steel A223, an exclusive alloy that took four years to develop. It has a luminous appearance (hence th
SIHH 2015 - Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso 1931 Seconde Centrale - hands-on with live photos & price - Monochrome-Watches
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso is an icon, a pure piece of?horological history, first created in 1931. For more than 80 years, Jaeger-LeCoultre had worked hard to keep this little piece of rotating metal on stage. Over?the years, we’ve seen multiple complications, multiple sizes or multiple limited editions. In 2011, the manufacture chose to re-introduce a superb and faithful edition of the very first Reverso, the?Jaeger LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute to 1931. Here is a new edition, paying tribute to another old model, discreetly unveiled during SIHH 2015, the?Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso 1931 Seconde Centrale. While the previous editions of the ‘vintage-inspired‘ Reverso were?mostly fitted?with a time-only (see here) or a small-second manual movement (see here and here), this new edition comes with an automatic movement with central second. You might think this is odd in the context of a Reverso, but in fact, this watch is extremely close to some 1930s /
