Chronopassion is a true wrist watch Mekka - Monochrome Watches
Who doesn’t know Chronopassion, the famous watch store with it’s spectacular collection of the most extraordinary, extravagant and rare watches? Recently I visited Paris and Laurent Picciotto, owner of Chronopassion, was so kind to talk about his store and how he started this back in 1988. 271 Rue Saint-Honore in Paris is a sort of watch Mekka for serious collectors and aficionados. The collection consists of famous brands like Audemars Piguet, Breguet, A.Lange und Sohne and Girard-Perregaux. But besides these big name brands, there are some many watches you will not see in many other watch stores. Think of Greubel and Forsey,?Hautlence, Ladoire, MB&F,?MCT Watches,?Richard Mille and URWERK. The most spectacular watches you can imagine. That’s why Chronopassion stands out from the crowd of watch stores and has become famous around the world. Laurent Picciotto is the founder, owner and president of Chronopassion and was welcomed me in his office for an interview.

IWC’s flagship model, the iconic Big Pilot is today’s topic of choice for a new set of watches inspired by the military-vehicle-turned-ultra-luxury-SUV by Mercedes, the G-Wagon. Naturally, it has a soft-iron inner case to protect it from magnetic forces, as well as sapphire crystals secured against sudden drops in air pressure. What distinguishes the two from the regular Big Pilot collecti
Introducing: The Monochromatic Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Essential Grey
We’ve been raving on and on about the profound use of colour within the watchmaking industry these past couple of months (and years). And yes, there have been countless vibrant, expressive and often quite cool and colourful watches, but what if you’re in the market for something a little less bright and eye-popping? What if you’re looking for something more, let’s say, monochromatic but still want it fit for summer? You’re in luck, as Hublot has just presented a lightweight titanium version of its Spirit of Big Bang in toned-down full-grey attire. This is the new and limited Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Essential Grey.Hublot’s watches are never shy of showing off what they are, as more often than not, the brand likes to play around with colours, textures and materials. Timekeeping in sporting events is of the utmost importance to not only determine a victor but also to start a race simultaneously for everyone involved. On land, it’s not that difficult to do, even though there can be quite a bit of tech involved. On the water, however, lining up for the start of a race becomes a whole different game. You have very little control, if any at all, over open water and wind, so how do you start a sailing race?
