Luxury Watches |
This is another example of grace and elegance captured by the brand beautifully. The entire aesthetic of the watch is very luxurious and high end. This watch has a silvery white dial with minute markers around the outer rim and luminous hands. The case is made of stainless steel with an open back and a fixed bezel. The case hosts a sapphire crystal which protects from scratches whereas the diameter of the case is 40 mm.

SIHH 2014: Recap of all the A. Lange & Sohne novelties (with LOTS of photos) - Monochrome Watches
Apart from the Richard Lange Perpetual Calendar Terraluna we've presented you last Monday (see here) and the Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase that you have discovered through Frank's hands-on (see here), A. Lange & Sohne revealed more new timepieces at the 2014 edition of the SIHH. Monochrome-Watches looks back on the new models of the Saxonian brand, and adds a LOAD of hands-on photos.1815 Tourbillon / 1815 (2014)The 1815 case is nothing new in the A. Lange & Sohne range, nor are the tourbillons. Is the 1815 Tourbillon boring? Not at all. It's a classic interpretation of the very legible and elegant 1815 design, which always features a lot of horological sweetness. The new 1815 Tourbillon features a large tourbillon, visible through an equally large aperture in the dial, and there’s more. New is a stop-seconds mechanism (also sometimes referred to as hack system) with a Zero-Reset function. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
The artistic Moritz Grossmann ATOM MOORE 37
With high-end German watchmaking companies often comes a sincere level of seriousness and respect for traditions and craftsmanship. Often labelled as the Saxony way of working, brands like A. Lange & Sohne, Glashutte Original and Moritz Grossmann show a real knack for extremely refined and classical styles of watchmaking. But, as we all need to do, every now and then they let loose a little and things like this Mortiz Grossmann ATOM MOORE 37 can come to fruition. A watch that is both a play on an artist’s name and logo, and the scientific symbol of an actual atom. Yet, with respect to the traditional craftsmanship of course!Whenever Moritz Grossmann decides to show a distinct level of freedom, surprising things can happen. One of the most striking examples perhaps is the Backpage Blue released last year. This ATOM MOORE 37 is a special edition of a different kind, made in collaboration with artist and photographer (and watch enthusiast/collector) Atom Moore. Based in New York
Fran?ois-Henry Bennahmias, CEO of Audemars Piguet, about AP Certified Pre-Owned Watches, Leaving SIHH and more - Monochrome Watches
Recently, Audemars Piguet has had a lot of hot news headlines – unprecedented revenues, quitting the SIHH, new technological partnerships. We decided that it was time for us to move to Le Brassus and have a good talk with the one person to answer our questions: Fran?ois-Henry Bennahmias, CEO of Audemars Piguet. It isn’t the first time we’re in conversation with?Fran?ois-Henry?– see here, here and here – and each time, his?straight talk brings the right answers. Today’s video interview (viewable on top of this article) is full of interesting facts and observations.Without going too much into the details about the interview – we leave this to Fran?ois-Henry – there are several important topics that we wanted to clarify about Audemars Piguet. 1 billion Swiss Francs revenue – Even though?Fran?ois-Henry Bennahmias emphasizes the fact that this number wasn’t the end-goal of the brand’s strategy, nobody can overlook this impres
SIHH 2018 - Patrick Pruniaux of Ulysse Nardin, On The New Collection
The SIHH 2018 has closed its doors yesterday, however we still have some videos to share with you. One of them concerns?Patrick Pruniaux, the recently appointed CEO of Ulysse Nardin, who is presenting the new collection… And there were some novelties, which look at many of the brand’s specialities: innovation, heritage and erotic watches (parental advisory, explicit content…)First watch presented by?Patrick?Pruniaux is to be seen as a cool entry-level option, the Torpilleur Military, a vintage take on the classical Marine Chronometer collection. Second – and this one deserve some attention – is the Freak Vision, a brand new take on an iconic collection, which incorporates several of the innovations introduced in 2017 on the InnoVision 2. Superb display, innovative winding mechanism, technical escapement and a new design, slimmer and more modern… Well done.Last but not least is the Voyeur, an erotic watch with automatons on the dial… depicting q
Horological Cyber-Warfare: Swiss Brands Targeting Piracy-Dials for Smartwatches - Monochrome Watches
Downloading movies and music without paying is illegal, and if you are caught you can be prosecuted for it. Download a Milgauss face for your gizmo? Hold on just a second! You could be next in line for the Swiss industry giants to take down a peg or two. Brands like Omega, Panerai, Mondaine and IWC are taking action against the latest phase of horo-theft: smartwatch-piracy.The global watch industry is an unusually large platform for piracy, as you probably all know. Hundreds of sites selling Bolex, Braitlin, EyeWC or Ublow have been taken down in the past, but they seem to surface again and again. Even more worrying, people are even rebadging a Cartier Rotonde to something called a Reef Tiger and try to pass it on as original designs, complete with a blue cabochon on the crown. And now we can add copyright infringing digital watch faces to the mix. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
