Recap: The Best of High-Complication at Watches and Wonders 2024
Today, we are ending our series of recap articles focused on the best new watches presented during Watches and Wonders 2024 and Geneva Watch Week (we’ve looked at dive watches, chronographs, dress watches or GMT models)… And what’s better to take a look back at some of the show’s most impressive, technically advanced and innovative models? We could have listed watches like the Bovet Recital 28 or the Monaco Split-Seconds, but both made it to other lists. Here, what matters is the art of watchmaking, whether it’s about breaking records, improving an important complication or making things thinner than ever before. Here’s the best of high-complication at the 2024 Geneva week.A. Lange & Sohne Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon LumenLange's impressive triple-complication, a.k.a the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon, isn’t really new as we’ve seen it already in platinum with a black dial and in white gold with a salmon/rose gold dial. Hands-On - The 2022 Pasha de Cartier Skeleton ADLC (Specs & Price)
The Pasha de Cartier collection has a wonderful background story involving the fabulously wealthy Pasha El Glaoui of Marrakech and his request to Louis Cartier to produce a gold waterproof watch with enough panache to accompany him on any of his countless social appointments. The only snag with this story is that the alleged 1932 model has never materialised (see below). Be that as it may, the one fact we can confirm is that Gerald Genta was the designer behind the Pasha collection of 1985. Faithful to Cartier‘s tradition of shaped cases, the Pasha plays with the geometry of a square inside a circle and is easy to recognise thanks to its cabochon-capped crown protector attached to a small chain. Among the 2022 releases was a surprising and not very publicised version that proved even more surprising in the dark. We take a closer look at this Pasha de Cartier Skeleton ADLC.The classic, closed dial version of the Pasha de Cartier, in its revamped version of 2020The Pasha, as we kno

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Cylindrique - Monochrome Watches
The SIHH 2016 will be the edition of the Reverso, an icon at?Jaeger-LeCoultre, a watch that celebrates its 85th anniversary this year. We’ve seen several watches introduced already, like the Tribute editions or the new Classic versions – and the best is about to be introduced in Geneva. However, for those in a need for something different, no worries as JLC also has some more, some nice extra additions, like this new?Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Cylindrique.Apart from a?tourbillon in the lower part of its dial, the?Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Cylindrique remains a rather simple and clean watch, with a design fully in the vein of the actual Jaeger-LeCoultre production.
