Geneva Watch Days 2020 Postponed To August 26th-29th-2020
After Watches & Wonders (ex-SIHH) and Baselworld announced the cancellation of their 2020 editions amid fears of a possible COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic, a group of brands decided that they could react to this situation and offer, through agility and ingenuity, a different approach to the presentation of new watches. With these lost opportunities to meet retailers and the press, watch brands need to handle business that would have got done there, but in a different way. Hence the creation of the “Geneva Watch Days 2020”. But this was a couple of weeks ago and things have changed in Europe, drastically. With the current situation and containment policies in most European countries and Switzerland, the Geneva Watch Days can no longer be, at least until the end of August 2020.What were the Geneva Watch Days 2020? It was a self-managed, decentralized, multi-brand event to be held from 26 to 29 April 2020, at the exact same dates as the cancelled Watches & Wonders 2020.
Hands-On - Bvlgari Divas Dream Peacock Collection
Three new models join the Divas' Dream collection inspired by the rich plumage and iridescent colours of peacocks' tails. Channelling the flamboyant spirit of Italian divas of the Dolce Vita, the proud and regal peacock is an apt choice. The new Divas' Dream trilogy – Peacock Dischi, Peacock Diamonds and Peacock Tourbillon Lumiere – celebrates Bvlgari's hallmark palette of extravagant colours with exquisite gemstone settings, feather marquetry, champleve enamelling and miniature painting. The Peacock watches also celebrate Bvlgari's impressive horological credentials represented here with a skeletonised tourbillon movement and a model with hours and minutes indicated via discs.Divas' Dream Peacock DischiPeacock tail feathers, or the train of a male peacock, make up for more than half the bird's total length and feature eyes' with their iridescent

If you’re into watches, you’re most certainly aware of the comeback of the IWC Ingenieur… And I mean by that, the return to the beloved integrated style designed by Gerald Genta in 1976, not the slightly disappointing collection that has been available from 2016 to earlier this year. Not only the comeback of the integrated Ingenieur was one of the worst-kept secrets of the industry, but it’s also one of the most discussed launched of Watches and Wonders 2023. We’ve extensively looked at the 3 steel models that form the core collection, but IWC had one last trick under its sleeve for us, one that we couldn’t see in advance, the Titanium IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40. And yes, in many regards, it is special.?Very quick recap. The IWC Ingenieur collection was born in the mid-1950s as a watch dedicated to people working in magnetic environments – the main specificity of the reference 666 was its movement protected by a soft-iron cage, something that w

For more than half a century, these two models have dominated the show at the Biel-based brand, giving it its iconic status. But, Omega has much more to offer than these two sports watches. In fact, there’s a collection that is even more enduring, and that is the Constellation. Built as a more elegant and more refined range of models, it even includes a pretty complex and satisfying calendar watch, the Globemaster Annual Calendar. Three new editions have been launched a couple of weeks ago, and today we have a look at two of these new, luxurious and colourful additions to the Globemaster lineup.?Although the aura of the Speed- and Seamaster collections is unbeatable, there’s one collection at Omega that is even more enduring, and that is the Constellation. Born in the late 1940s, way before the two other sports collections were even imagined, the Constellation was the e
