Hands-On - A. Lange & Sohne Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon with Pink Gold/Salmon Dial (Specs & Price)
Montblanc, Audemars, Patek?and more… Salmon/pink dials are THE trend for the 2018/2019 collection. Even though not entirely novel, we’ve never encountered so many watches with pink-coloured dials as we have this year. Don’t get us wrong, we actually love salmon dials here, at MONOCHROME (see Frank’s love letter here). There are, however, different ways to execute a salmon dial and when it decided to do its first real pink-coloured timepiece,?A. Lange & Sohne took the high-end road… really high-end, with the new?Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon and its solid pink gold dial.Lookbook 2019 – The trend for SalmonAfter a rolling series of blue dials (from 2013 to 2016), after multiple bronze watches (a trend that isn’t over, as seen at the SIHH with multiple?bronze case/green dial watches), the major trend for high-end watches this year seems to be the combination of white metal and a pink/salmon dial. Close to SIHH - Monochrome Watches
Every year there are two main watch fairs where most brands shos their watches to their customers and the worldpress. One of those fairs is in Basel and all brands united in the Swatch Group and a lot of other (independent) brands expose their new products. The Salon International de Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) is the equivalent where the brands of the Richemont Group show their new products. The SIHH is very early this year so rumors already go around on the watch forums ??The SIHH starts january 19th and lasts untill the 23th and is like every year in Geneve. So starting the 3rd week of january brands like IWC, Panerai, Jaeger LeCoultre, Cartier, Girard Perregaux, Dunhill, Audemars Piguet and A.Lange und Sohne will proudly present new wathes and i must admit i can’t wait to see what they will present. Lots of my favorite brands are part of the Richemont Group so the good thing is that i won’t have to wait untill the Basel watch fair in April ??Last year IWC brought us (among
Introducing The Urwerk UR-102 Reloaded, A Tribute To The Past
Urwerk‘s co-founders Felix Baumgartner and Martin Frei first discussed their ideas for a new piece back in 1995 and officially founded the company in 1997. That same year, they launched the UR-101 and UR-102 watches at Baselworld, sci-fi-inspired creations with wandering hours running on a semi-circular minute track at the top. Recently, these two simple yet visually striking models have soared in popularity. The time has come for the brand to travel back in time and present its first vintage re-edition, the UR-102 Reloaded, launched as a boxed set containing its two versions.Along with the other inaugural model, the 101, the UR-102 is considered a foundation piece, a watch that sealed the beginning of Urwerk’s adventure and marked the starting point. A round watch with a neo-futuristic look, the UR-102 is rather shy compared to the contemporary creations of Baumgartner and Frei, but it introduced the most important feature of them all, the arched window with the time displ

I am confident you will find this to be a passionate and detailed account, from
