A fine leather material is selected for the bracelet. In addition, the watch has an automatic caliber 6R24 with 31 jewels and a long power reserve of 45 hours to ensure efficiency. Oris adds a Green Dial to the Divers Sixty-Five (Specs and Price) - Monochrome Watches
It is only one-and-a-half year ago. That’s when Oris introduced the Divers Sixty-Five, a new kid on the “vintage diver’s watches block”, and collectors around the world embraced this very cool, and very affordable, vintage inspired divers watch. After the first model, with similar hour markers as an old Oris from 1965, a second model with?Grey and Deauville Blue was introduced. At Baselworld this year, Oris launched the 2mm larger bronze Carl Brashear Edition and a ‘normal’ 42mm edition in stainless steel, with ‘normal’ round hour markers and a striking deep, almost electric, blue dial. Now they add a green dial, again with the same round hour markers, and in a 42mm case with domed sapphire crystal.?When you read Monochrome frequently you probably noticed that we’re quite a bunch of snobs when it comes to watches, their design, heritage, build and finishing. Still, we can appreciate the occasional affordable piece, like the first Di
Patek Philippe Nautilus Annual Calendar 5726 Gradient Blue Dial (Specs & Price)
These days it seems that any watch model from Patek Philippe that has the word Nautilus in its title is in great demand – and short supply. The two crowd favourites are of course the Ref. 5711 and the Ref. 5712. Both have seen their resale values skyrocket in the past few years and it doesn't look like things will abate any time soon. In fact, the last I heard, the wait time for a 5711 from the Patek Salon here in London is around a decade. Of course, there are more than two models in the Nautilus line-up. Today, we're taking a closer look at one that is perhaps sometimes overlooked by eager would-be collectors. This is the Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5726/1A, complete with new gradient blue dial.A Little Bit Of HistoryIn 2006, Patek Philippe celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus by redesigning the entire collection and launching four new models. This was a major move and sparked a new level of interest in the brand's luxury steel sports watches. Included amongst the n
Longines Heritage Classic Black Sector Dial (Specs & Price)
Longines is well-known for being one of the most prolific brands when it comes to paying tribute to its past, and reissuing some of its most glorious vintage models. All positioned under the “Heritage” collection, there is one watch in this range that made quite some noise when introduced back in 2019, the Longines Heritage Classic Sector Dial. Compact, faithful, elegant and playing on 1930s inspirations, it was an immediate success. Following the silver edition, the winged hourglass?comes back this year with a new model. Meet the Longines Heritage Classic Black Sector Dial, and with the option for a cool beads of rice bracelet. The Longines Heritage Classic is a watch that boasts all the elements of a typical?1930s piece. Think Calatrava-styled case with stepped bezel, straight lugs, two-tone dial with a so-called sector, combining markers and Arabic numerals, clean hands and a central crosshair… No need to mention that such vintage watches are now highly sought-after
Introducing the Richard Mille RM 055 Bubba Watson All Grey Boutique Edition (Specs & price) - Monochrome-Watches
A mechanical watch to be worn while practicing golf? Isn’t that?something that everybody knows to be dangerous? Well, if you’re talking about usual mechanical watches, this statement is totally true. Don’t wear an automatic watch while playing golf! However, when it comes to Richard Mille, we’re not in front of usual timepieces… Not at all! As we’ve seen with Rafael Nadal or Bubba Watson, the watches of the brand can resist to almost everything, even Bubba’s mighty drive. The watch that is dedicated to him comes in a new iteration: here is the?Richard Mille RM 055 Bubba Watson All Grey Boutique Edition. In 2014, Rafeal Nadal won Roland Garros with a ultra-light tourbillon on the wrist (the Richard Mille RM 27-01 to be precise, with its movement?weighing?3.5 grams). In 2015, he was not that lucky at Roland Garros but his watch, the RM 27-02 Tourbillon, was kind of impressive. Bubba Watson, one of the top 5 golf players in the world, also has his?
Video: The Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 UFO Robot Grendizer
This is not the first time 1970s pop culture has come to life on a watch dial, and it's likely not to be the last time. There's just something appealing about past icons, and reviving them in relation to watches is common practice. One such watch to get this type of makeover is the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80. Born in the 1970s as the PRX, it was relaunched to great success just a few short years ago. This was at the peak of the luxury sports watch hype, and in came the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 collection, an affordable and overall very well-finished alternative. Now though, Tissot's star of the 1970s collides with another icon from that era; UFO Robot Grendizer! UFO Robot Grendizer is a Japanese Manga comic book series and animated TV show created by Go Nagai. It revolves around Crown Prince Duke Fleed who flees his home planet after the people from planet Vega invade it. He does so in the Grendizer, a giant mecha robot, and ends up on Earth. The show first aired on Japanese television in
