Video - New Watches of A. Lange & Sohne Presented By Wilhelm Schmid
Live from Watches And Wonders 2022, we talk to Wilhelm Schmid, CEO of A. Lange & Sohne, who will present the brand’s latest creation and the theme for the 2022 collection. There were 3 main launches this year for ALS, starting with the new, redesigned, slimmer and slightly bolder Grand Lange 1, with a grained grey dial and ultra-thin case in white or pink gold. Second is the highly surprising titanium Odysseus, a watch with a new light blue/grey dial, new dial structure and mostly, a case and bracelet fully executed in matte-finished titanium. Last but not least, Wilhelm Schmid will introduce to us the new Richard Lange Minute Repeater, a highly classic yet technical chiming piece, with an entirely new in-house movement with several patents and an in-house made grand feu enamel dial, a first for A. Lange & Sohne. For more details about the new collection, check our video on top of the article or visit www.alange-soehne.com. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
Only Watch 2015 - Unique Zenith El Primero Striking 10th Lightweight Tribute to the Rolling Stones - Monochrome-Watches
Apart from the crazy complicated creations offered for Only Watch 2015 – like the unique Patek Philippe 5016 (with a minute repeater, a tourbillon and a QP) or the music machine by Ulysse Nardin – this charity auction held by Phillips Watches on November 7th, 2015 will also show the opportunity to bet on more?affordable?but iconic watches – but of course, in unique editions. Tudor will come with a one-of-a-kind Black Bay and now Zenith introduces its unique edition of the legendary El Primero. Here is the?Zenith El Primero Striking 10th Lightweight Tribute to the Rolling Stones for Only Watch 2015.When we say legendary, it’s with no doubt what the Zenith El Primero is – whatever the edition. In fact, it’s not really the watch itself that is an icon but more the movement that has to be praised, as this caliber was in 1969 part of the world’s first automatic chronographs?triad?(together with the Heuer Calibre 11 and the Seiko 6139). However, the
Oris AquisPro Date Calibre 400 (Specs & Price)
Oris is no stranger to the dive watch. It actually offers multiple sub-collections focused on aquatic activities yet with different users in mind. The Divers Sixty Five is the cool, vintagey option, and the Aquis is a solid contender for the modern daily diver’s watch. At the top-end of the diving watch collection is the ProDiver collection with ultra-functional, instrumental and rugged models. It seems that Oris’ high-performance diver is changing its name to become the AquisPro, and coincidentally it now features the brand’s recently introduced manufacture movement. Here the new Oris AquisPro Date Calibre 400.If the name isn’t the same, the new AquisPro is completely in line with what the previous ProDiver stood for: a highly technical tool watch to serve professional divers on saturation dives equipped with ultra-resistant materials and various functionalities created with professionals in mind. And, looking at the watch, it shows. Don’t expect elegance
Just Because - Berd Vaye Horological Sculptures
The horological landscape is a complex and interesting one, filled with not only mechanical marvels for your wrist but also myriad other interrelated products. The connection with some, such as watch winders, is obvious, whilst others are a little more abstract. Berd Vaye horological sculptures definitely fit into this latter category, displaying vintage watch parts from around the world in a whole new light.Wearable ArtThe modern renaissance of mechanical watchmaking (i.e. post-quartz crisis), brought with it a strong focus on the artistic and aesthetic elements of timekeeping. In many ways, these elements comprise the luxury' aspect of luxury watches. The use of hi-tech materials, for example, is often as much about the look and feel as it is about the practical advantages of using such materials. This is not a bad thing, mind you, indeed it has ensured the survival of the industry. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
2020 Vacheron Constantin egerie Collection // Introducing, Specs & Price
Named after Egeria, the Roman water nymph, egerie is Vacheron Constantin's latest women's collection. No doubt chosen to evoke the classic temperament of this new collection, egerie has also taken inspiration from the world of Haute Couture with elegant, pleated designs on the dial. Available in two different case sizes, three different case materials (including a high jewellery diamond pave version), with moon phases or date and Vacheron Constantin's versatile strap-changing system, the collection gets off to a promising start and will be available from March 1, 2020.BackgroundUnlike other collections at Vacheron, like the Overseas or even the Patrimony that cater to both sexes, egerie is clearly dedicated to women. However, this is not the first time egerie makes its appearance. First launched in 2003 with a curvaceous, tonneau-shaped case, the only surviving attribute of the former egerie are the slanted Arabic numerals that appeared on some of the models.2003 Vacheron Constantin Eg
