Vacheron Constantin FiftySix Complete Calendar - Review (Specs & Price)
When Vacheron Constantin announced the introduction of a new collection, the?FiftySix, just ahead of the SIHH 2018, we were (in all honesty) rather sceptical. I can recall discussions with Frank about the design, the way the brand communicated the model, the “entry-level” approach or the millennial?target. But as they say, first impressions can be wrong… So we decided to give this?Vacheron Constantin FiftySix a second chance, but this time by wearing it. And for that, we chose the most complex (and most appealing) version, the?Complete Calendar. Why were we sceptical about the VC?FiftySix?Being journalists – or at least, people who run a magazine – we usually receive visuals and press releases about new models in advance. In this way, we have time to prepare articles so you can enjoy reading about novelties right when they are officially launched. This was the case with the Vacheron Constantin FiftySix, which we discovered a few days before the SIHH 2018. Y

First Look: The Even More Complex MB&F LM Sequential Flyback
The aphorism “if it ain't broke, don't fix it” is not often used by watchmaker Stephen McDonnell, the mastermind behind MB&F's most complex timepieces enhanced with his innovative technological breakthroughs. Responsible for the 2015 LM Perpetual and the LM Sequential EVO, fans of MB&F's wonderful watches will be delighted to learn that Stephen McDonnell is back. This time, McDonnell ups the functionality of his award-winning chronograph calibre by incorporating a flyback function. However, for this new souped-up edition of 33 pieces, MB&F restages the complications in a more classical Legacy Machine capsule. Soaring in a platinum case with a sky-blue dial plate, the LM Sequential Flyback is the stuff watchmaking dreams are made of.The LM Sequential EVO, released in 2022, was MB&F's first chronograph and 20th calibre, and in true MB&F style, it had to be mind-blowing. Calling on a longstanding MB&F friend and watchmaking wizard, Stephen McDonnell, th
Introducing The Black Ceramic Zenith Defy Skyline & Skyline Skeleton
The Defy Skyline collection was introduced by Zenith in 2022 and offered a new interpretation of the original Defy series, aimed to improve the brand’s standing in luxury sports watches. There were 14 references in the Skyline collection so far, including a range of 36mm watches. The 41mm models, powered by El Primero 3620 high-frequency automatic manufacture movement with the 1/10th of a second indicator, including the skeleton versions, all featured octagonal steel cases with a faceted steel bezel. Today, the brand expands the offer by adding two 41mm references made in black ceramic. The new Zenith Defy Skyline Black Ceramic models, as the name implies, are presented in a black ceramic case with a mix of satin-brushed and polished surfaces. It comes with an integrated bracelet crafted from the same material. Ceramic is a tough substance, highly resistant to scratches and signs of wear, so it is a perfect choice for a watch that is supposedly worn in chal
Panerai Radiomir 1940 Art Deco PAM00790 and PAM00791 (Specs & Price)
Panerai digs deep into its past and finds an unusual source of inspiration for its new Radiomir 1940 models in the form of an Art Deco pendulum clock. Housed in 47mm Radiomir cases, the dials of these newcomers are a far cry from standard Panerai fare. Dressier and playing the retro card to perfection, the Radiomir 1940 Art Deco Dial PAM00790 and PAM00791 are out to seduce landlubbers. Presented with ivory and black dials and no trace of Panerai's hallmark luminescence, both Special Editions feature elegant Art Deco hour numerals, a railway minute track and, for the first time in Panerai's history, spear-shaped hour and minute hands. So, many of you might be asking, how does a pendulum clock fit in with Panerai's history of rugged military watches and instruments designed for Italian Navy frogmen on secret underwater missions during WWII? A fortress built on two solid pillars ¨CLuminor and Radiomir – Panerai has kept its brand identity rock solid rarely straying from the path of ov
