LVMH Brands Bvlgari, Hublot, TAG Heuer & Zenith all Leave Baselworld - Monochrome Watches
After the “bomb” that was dropped by , Tudor, Patek Philippe, Chopard and Chanel earlier this week, concerning their decision to leave Baselworld, there is no longer any doubt about the (low) relevance of Baselworld for major brands. Subsequently, we have just been told that all four LVMH Brands, those from the watch Division – Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith – as well as the House of Bvlgari, have taken the decision to leave Baselworld “in order to preserve their image and their relations with their clients as well with the media“.As of today, most of the top-tier brands that were participating in Baselworld are gone – LVMH, Swatch Group, Seiko, Citizen, Breitling, and sister-brand Tudor, Patek Phillipe, Chopard, Chanel and Gucci (that also announced its departure recently). Almost the entire Hall 1.0 of the Basel fair has lost its exhibitors. As for LVMH brands Bvlgari, Hublot, TAG Heuer & Zenith, the Group justifies its decision by the fa
Introducing the 2014 IWC Aquatimer Collection - With LIVE Photos - Monochrome Watches
Last year IWC completely revamped the Ingenieur collection, the year before that it was the Pilot’s collection, and this year the Aquatimer collection gets a fresh new look. Today we can already show you some of the new models, the rest will be ‘visually’ presented in a few weeks at the SIHH in Geneva. Now I have seen the entire new Aquatimer collection, I can already say that my favorite is made in bronze!IWC has a long reputation for using ‘new’ materials; new at least for the watch industry. Especially the Ocean 2000, a classic that IWC made for Porsche Design and one that most (fanatic) watch enthusiast will know, was a well ahead of its time. That was because of its smooth, rounded integrated bracelet, entirely made in titanium, and with a depth rating of 2000 meters. This particular watch was a huge source of inspiration for Christian Knoop, IWC's Creative Director, which can be seen in the new Aquatimer Automatic 2000 (Ref. IW358002). Ad

The Seamaster Aqua Terra surfaced in 2002, and although it still offered robust water-resistance, its looks were modelled on dressier Seamaster models of the 1950s and 1960s, some of them decorated with the horizontal striped lines (decking) that characterise this family. Smart and sporty, resilient and attractive, the Aqua Ter

Jack Heuer’s chronograph designs are revered as iconic and exemplary, laying the foundation for contemporary TAG Heuer collections that adhere to his fundamental principles and approach to watchmaking. As we embark on a new year, TAG Heuer presents a new timepiece inspired by the second-generation Carrera Dato 45 ref. 3147 from 1968, showcasing the successful Carrera Glassbox design and featuring a teal green dial. While undoubtedly influenced by vintage aesthetics, the new TAG Heuer Carrera Glassbox Chronograph Green is a distinctly modern timepiece, capturing our admiration.
