News: Frederic Arnault Named CEO of LVMH Watches, Julien Tornare CEO of TAG Heuer
For some months now, we’ve heard and seen evidence that things were about to change at LVMH, a reshuffling strategy that industry insiders love to call the musical chairs of management. Things are now official as Julien Tornare, ex-CEO of Zenith, becomes CEO of TAG Heuer. He’s replaced in this role by Benoit de Clerck, who previously was COO of?Panerai, a branch of LVMH’s competitor, the Richemont Group. However, while many insiders expected Frederic Arnault, the son of the Group’s owner Bernard Arnault and ex-CEO of TAG Heuer, to take the lead at Bulgari, things appear different. Instead, he’ll take the position of CEO of LVMH Watches (a new role), overseeing Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith.?Frederic Arnault, ex-CEO of TAG Heuer, now appointed to a newly-created role, CEO of LVMH Watches29-year-old Frederic Arnault, who joined TAG Heuer in 2018 as Head of Strategy, later to become CEO of the company in 2020, has just been promoted to a different position, th
Weekly Watch Photo - IWC Big Pilot's Watch - Monochrome Watches
IWC totally understands how to promote their watches. I think they’ve been looking closely at what watch fans have been doing at forums and what Monochrome also does once a week… sharing beautiful photos of beautiful watches. For the launch of the new Pilot’s watch collection, IWC created a set of very cool photos of their newest timepieces. We already showed you photos of the new Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun Miramar and the Pilot’s Watch Mark XVII. Today we show you the Big Pilot’s Watch ref. 5009 and the Top Gun and Top Gun Miramar Editions. When IWC released the first Big Pilot’s Watch (ref. 5002) in 2002 it was, together with Panerai, THE watch that changed the fashion of the watch world from what we call now-a-days ‘medium-size’ to BIG. In those days, any watch larger that 40/41 mm in diameter was considered large. I still recall people saying my TAG Heuer Monaco (square case, 38 x 38 mm) being very big. Imagine how much the perce
Introducing the Tudor Pelagos Blue and Black with new In-House movement - Monochrome Watches
In 2012 Tudor introduced the Pelagos ref.25500TN, a watch that we consider Tudor’s answer on the Sea-Dweller. The ultimate tool watch, made in light and technical looking titanium, and water resistant to 500 meters. Here at Monochrome we have a thing for proper tool watches and the Pelagos perfectly fits the bill. Last year we predicted that Tudor would launch a blue Pelagos and, since they didn’t, and we really wanted to see that one, we predicted it this year again. Here it is, finally, the Tudor Pelagos Blue, and it now comes with Tudor’s new in-house movement.Tudor’s new in-house movement is the calibre MT5612 and packs 70 hours of power reserve. Even better, when you know that the price of the Pelagos will not be raised much in comparison to the previous model, and is set at a very decent (read: competitive) CHF 4200 Swiss Francs (including 8% VAT). Do you have your attention now? An ultimate diving tool, rating to 500m, with a brand new in-house designed

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Memovox Timer Gold Limited Hands-On
The name Memovox has been associated with Jaeger-LeCoultre for more than 70 years, being one of the most famous (and also one of the last) alarm watches on the market. The brand has established a tradition by releasing watches equipped with this function ranging from classic timepieces to sports watches. One of the most appealing recent models to surface with the buzzing alarm was the limited edition Master Control Memovox Timer with its blue dial, engraved areas and timer function. The watch now returns in a new version, mixing warm tones of gold with an elegant black dial.?The 2020 Master Control Memovox Timer?in steel with a blue dial.Whenever you hear (pun intended) the name Memovox at Jaeger-LeCoultre, you know that it has to do with an alarm function. Somewhat overlooked these days, this striking complication might be the simplest when it comes to sound functions, but it remains fascinating due to its entirely mechanical nature.
