The TAG Heuer Carrera has a 43mm robust stainless-steel case that has a black ceramic bezel that complements the watch to no end. Video A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Thin Honeygold
Today we have another review of a supremely elegant and refined watch by German watchmaker A. Lange & Sohne. And it is a rather special model that we have here, a highly understated watch, which comprises the very essence of Lange. While we have already video reviewed the most complex watch introduced for the 175th anniversary of watchmaking in Glashutte, the impressive Tourbograph Perpetual, it is now time to look at this deceptively simple two-hand watch, the A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Thin Honeygold. And although it looks minimalistic, it hides many surprises, as you’ll discover in the video above.?This 1815 Thin is part of the trilogy of timepieces released to celebrate the 175th anniversary of watchmaking in Glashutte. Indeed, in 1845, Ferdinand Adolph Lange inaugurated a manufacture in the town of Glashutte, which would become the centre of precision watchmaking in Germany. This was a true entrepreneurial project that gave birth to countless other brands, and of course,
Timeless Hires Renowned Watchmakers Pierre Favre and Dominique Renaud - Monochrome Watches
If watch brands are proudly trumpeting their watchmaking expertise and manufacturing capabilities, suppliers don't always get the credit they deserve. Today we are taking a look at Timeless, a movement manufacturer that just hired two well-known industry veterans, Pierre Favre and Dominique Renaud. A good reason to make us think that we'll be hearing more about Timeless in the future!Created in 2008, Timeless is an upmarket movement manufacturer that is part of the Groupe Regence. Headquartered in Satigny, in the outskirts of Geneva, Regence was founded some 20 ago by Georges Leger. It is active in the production of watch components with a surprising level of vertical integration, manufacturing most of the key parts. The Signature Mysterieuse Tourbillon by Charles Girardier, Ladies’ complication watch prize at the 2020 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve, powered by a Timeless movementWith Timeless, the idea is not to compete with companies specialised in the industrial production o
First Look: The Girard-Perregaux Laureato 42mm Pink Gold Sage Green and Ultramarine Blue
One of the earliest models in the so-called luxury sports watch category, the Girard-Perregaux Laureato, was released in 1975 and powered by a quartz movement. In 1984, mechanical movements found their way into this original barrel-shaped watch, and this has become the norm since the return of the watch in 2016. Now an established collection with countless variations and colours, the Girard-Perregaux Laureato range extends once more this year with the addition of two original colours – sage green and ultramarine blue – inside luxurious pink gold cases.?The design of the Laureato was set in stone back in 1975, making it one of the earliest members of the highly regarded luxury sports watch category – and while it came after the all-important Royal Oak (1972), it predates three other icons, the Patek Nautilus (1976), the IWC Ingenieur (1976) and the Vacheron 222 (1977). A classic of the genre, the Laureato was built around a shaped case with an integrated bracelet. The
Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Automatic Satin-Polished Steel // Review, Price
The Octo Finissimo Automatic needs no introduction. Since its launch in 2017, it has established its place on the market and became an indubitable member of the Luxury Sports Watch category. Modern, bold, monochromatic, ultra-ultra-thin, mechanically impressive and with its very own identity (something rare in this category). Now that this watch is well established, it is time for the brand to move forward and to offer evolutions… But not with the classic formula of a new dial colour. At Bvlgari, it’s all about materials and textures, for instance, the brand new “Satin-Polished” steel version – and it comes with one major update to make it even better.BackgroundSince 2014, Bvlgari is on a mission: creating a collection of ultra-thin watches, built around a single design, easily recognizable, derived with multiple complications that all break thinness records. But this quest for slenderness is not a matter of ego and cold numbers… Behind this lies the
