Introducing: 4 new A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 Limited Editions for its 30th-Anniversary
Exactly 30 years ago, on 24 October 1994, at the Dresden Royal Palace, Gunter Blumlein, Walter Lange and Hartmut Knothe unveiled the inaugural collection of the rejuvenated A. Lange & Sohne brand, consisting of the Saxonia, the Arkade, the Tourbillon Pour le Merite and, of course, the Lange 1. A watch that has been instrumental in the resurrection of the brand, of German watchmaking and of the whole concept of high-end horology, the emblematic Lange 1 is celebrating today its 30th anniversary. And to pay tribute to its longevity, here are 4 new limited editions; in platinum with a black onyx dial or in pink gold with a blue dial, available either a classic Lange 1 or as a Little Lange 1.?The Lange 1 is a watch of such importance for the brand and for the luxury watch industry as a whole that it should deserve an entire article about its history, which would certainly feel relevant today on its 30th anniversary. Well, you should feel lucky, since we have done that already in this in
IWC Introduces The Big Pilot G63 In Armor Hold and Ceramic Matrix Composite
IWC Schaffhausen has been partners with Mercedes and its AMG sub-brand for quite some time now, both through the road cars and its Formula 1 team, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1. The two brands seem to complement each other in multiple ways, often taking style and innovation in new directions. IWC’s flagship model, the iconic Big Pilot is today’s topic of choice for a new set of watches inspired by the military-vehicle-turned-ultra-luxury-SUV by Mercedes, the G-Wagon. IWC has transferred elements of the top-of-the-range Mercedes-AMG G63 onto the new IWC Schaffhausen Big Pilot G63, which comes in two very distinct materials. The new G63 is first and foremost based on the legendary Big Pilot, which means a rather impressive case of 46.5mm in diameter and 14.6mm in height. Naturally, it has a soft-iron inner case to protect it from magnetic forces, as well as sapphire crystals secured against sudden drops in air pressure. What distinguishes the two from the regular Big Pilot collecti
IWC expands its Pilot's Watch Mark XX with 4 new references
Just a couple of months ago we found out IWC had quietly introduced the new Pilot’s Watch Mark XX. No fanfare, no public announcement, no press releases, nothing. It just popped up on the website one day, out of the blue. And speaking of blue, that was one of the dial colours presented, alongside classical black. This time around, IWC brings us four new references to the Mark XX collection that up the versatility of this very classically styled pilot’s watch once more, with new strap and bracelet options to choose from! These new additions to the Pilot’s Watch Mark XX collection aren’t going to wow you with creativity or originality. It are typical pilot-style watches by IWC so you pretty much know what you’re getting upfront. However, the Mark XX range revealed some touch-ups beyond the overall design as it showcased new proportions, colours, and mechanics. All of them come in the solid 40mm wide steel case with 10.8mm in height, a simple knurled crown, a

While searching for interesting things trifles to buy on Ebay, we've stumbled upon THE object to tickle our spy-kid minds: a true revival of the Cold War, a fascinating object that would have to be used with a trench coat, a hat and sunglasses: a real spy-watch with an integrated microphone and recorder - Khrouchtchev-approved. New editions for the Ulysse Nardin Dual Time Manufacture - Monochrome-Watches
Ulysse Nardin is a productive and innovative manufacture, able to create incredible watches such as the newly introduced Ulysse Nardin FreakLab or the Anchor Escapement. Both are however expensive watches totally?focused on R&D. On the other side of the range, there are watches that might show a (visually) simpler technical content but that are however also full of interest. One of them is the?Ulysse Nardin Dual Time Manufacture that was introduced last year at Baselworld and that comes with an in-house movement. This year, the collection is updated with two fresh editions. The?Ulysse Nardin Dual Time Manufacture was previously available in 4 editions – stainless steel case with silver dial,?stainless steel case with black dial (both also available on a metallic bracelet), 18k rose gold case with a silver dial and 18k rose gold case with a black dial.
