IWC Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month Titanium IW381802 (Specs & Price)
Surprising changes occurred when IWC decided to revamp its iconic Ingenieur collection in 2016. For one, the robust “Genta-esque” case was abandoned and replaced with the original design of the 1960s models. Among the inaugural models were some 3-hand watches and chronographs. And on top of the range was the complex Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month, combining a QP and a flyback chronograph. This watch, available until now only in gold with a white dial, now comes in a new, lighter, more casual version with a grey dial and titanium case under ref. IW381802.The new version that IWC is introducing today is nothing more than an update of colours and materials, as all the specifications and mechanical parts are identical. For this 100-piece limited run of the Titanium ref. IW381802, IWC has opted for a new colour combination, with a sunray brushed slate grey dial echoing the greyish tint of the titanium case. The apertures for the digital QP are white for greater
A Guide to the Evolution of the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch, Reference by Reference
No other watch on Earth can boast the space credentials of the Speedmaster, the one and only watch worn on the Moon. The curious fact about the Speedmaster is that it wasn't designed to go to the Moon. Nobody at Omega could have foreseen that the Speedmaster would soon be orbiting out of the Earth's atmosphere to join man on the greatest adventure of all. Born in 1957 as part of a trilogy of instrument watches, the Speedmaster was originally designed for car racers or anybody interested in measuring elapsed times with 1/5th of a second accuracy. The first chronograph of its kind to feature a tachymetre scale on the external bezel, the Speedmaster responded to an internal mandate for a sturdy, precise, waterproof watch that was reliable, legible and easy to manipulate. Today we are going to dig in deep with the Speedmaster and provide you with a compilation of the most iconic' references - and therefore the ones most coveted by collectors – that marked the evolution of this extrao
Pre SIHH 2014: Introducing the Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1931 Pink Gold Case and Chocolate-toned Dial - Monochrome Watches
Three years after introducing the first Grande Reverso Ultra-Thin Tribute to 1931, Jaeger-LeCoultre created a second pink gold version, now featuring a lovely chocolate brown dial. The full name of this watch – Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1931 Pink Gold Case and Chocolate-toned Dial – is quite a mouthful. The name might be a tongue-twister, but with these looks it can easily become a heart-breaker as well. (pre-Jaeger) LeCoultre Reverso from 1934The Reverso finds its roots in the polo game, back in the 1930’s, and has appear in many different variations over the years. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary, Jaeger-LeCoultre chose to return to the very origins by presenting the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute to 1931, which was directly inspired by the aesthetic codes of the historical model. The ultra-thin case, and just on the early models the dial lacks the brand name and only has the model name – Reverso – printed on it.Reverso models

Pre-Baselworld 2018 - TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 02 Manufacture 43mm - Monochrome Watches
The Carrera is turning 55 and it never ceases to evolve… During its long life, the TAG Heuer Carrera has taken various forms and incorporated numerous innovations and movements. Yet, it was born a chronograph and remains mainly a chronograph. For Baselworld?2018, TAG will introduce a new edition of its icon, another technical, sporty version, this time with the newly developed Calibre Heuer 02 inside. While the brand has the ability to play with vintage codes and faithful reeditions – see the Autavia or the Monza – the team made the deliberate choice to modernise the watch instead of recreating a watch that looks to the past. This strategy has been deployed over the entire collection when TAG introduced the Carrera Heuer 01, a modular, large and bold piece that incorporated the skeletonised version of the Chronograph calibre 1887 – named here Heuer 01. At 45mm, with angular shapes and a mix of technical materials, it was a strong choice, but one that proved to be
