Seiko Professional Specifications - PROSPEX - Monochrome Watches
Dive watches have come and go throughout history; the most recognizable of them are pieces from and Omega. Submariners and Seamasters have graced the wrist of many, with some even saying it's the perfect tool watch to wear. But the folks from the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) would beg to differMuch has been said about Seiko watches in the past, but for the likes of Seiko's PROSPEX line, it has been fairly limited.??Readers of our website may have seen one of them?here?and another one?here. But what really makes the PROSPEX a piece worth having? Allow me to offer a different perspective, the PROSPEX perspective Ad - Scroll to continue with article The PROSPEX, as the name implies, simply means Professional Specifications. It is Seiko's answer to the professional world that desires nothing but the very best from their watches. As such, professionals and fans o
Tudor Style 41mm Fluted Bezel (Specs & Price)
In the world of watches, there’s a certain way of categorizing, and this usually refers to two main types of timepieces: sports watches and dress watches. Well, it is kind of short-sighted to split this way. There’s another category that sits right in the middle, which is often forgotten by watch journalists (us included), however watches that represent an impressive part of the sales: the all-rounder watch, the casual pieces which can be worn in every situation. And in that category, Tudor introduced a watch this year that will perfectly do the job, and even more than that: the Tudor Style 41mm With Fluted Bezel. With this review of the?Tudor Style 41mm, I might have to?plead?guilty. I’m a watch journalist who also happen to be a watch collector and that mostly tend to write for watch lovers. This means that I usually?focus on talking pieces and watches that create on?me, and I guess on you, readers, emotions. Still, once again, this is kind of?simplistic. With this i
Introducing the Oris Divers Sixty Five, now in Grey and "Deauville Blue" (specs & price) - Monochrome Watches
Remember Baselworld 2015… One of the most?discussed watches and one of our favorites was, surprisingly, a watch priced below 2,000 Euros – and not one of the ultra-complicated pieces from Patek or one of the latest es. Frankly, the Oris Divers Sixty Five is a tremendously cool timepiece, mixing?perfectly vintage elements with a modern and ultra-stylish look. We showed it to you in advance before Baselworld and we reviewed it later, just to confirm that, yes, we love this affordable, simple but inspired tool watch. Oris now comes with a new iteration, following the trend of blue dials. Here is?Oris Divers Sixty Five, now in Grey and “Deauville Blue”.Introduced first with a black dial, a black bezel and cream “faux-patina” indexes, the Oris Divers Sixty Five was paying tribute to an almost forgotten vintage piece made by the brand during the mid-1960s (most likely, this watch was launched in 1965). Expect for the evolution of the size (that evolved fr
FOUND: Dutch Coach Louis Van Gaal's Watch - a Rare Christiaan van der Klaauw Pendulum and We Found One - Monochrome Watches
In case you were wondering what kind of watch Dutch football coach Louis van Gaal was wearing during the FIFA World Cup in Brasil, it’s a Dutch watch, made by none other than Dutch watchmaker Christiaan van der Klaauw. And if that isn’t cool and exclusive enough, Louis Van Gaal’s watch is a limited edition of 25 pieces and we found one for sale.?Maybe you do the same. When someone in a movie or on TV is wearing his watch quite visible, we want to know what it is. Trying to find out which watch Van Gaal was wearing, was a tough one. Luckily he was wearing just one watch during the entire championship, so we got quite a few good glimpses of his wrist. It was clearly a square watch, and our first guess was that it could be a TAG Heuer Monaco. But some details were simply not aligning with that. It was a tough one… Ad - Scroll to continue with article
Introducing the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 40mm Now Full Gold-Coloured
The Tissot PRX… A never-ending story, with one variation following another. The brand’s catalogue is now a collection comprising no fewer than 38 references, including quartz and automatic models, time-only or chronograph versions, in either 35mm or 40mm, on steel bracelets, leather or rubber straps. And then, there are the colours, ranging from classic black or blue to a cool ice blue dial. Until a couple of days ago, the collection comprised 37 references and a new one was just added. Using the familiar look that we discovered only two weeks ago, the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 40mm is now available in full gold-coated attire, a statement piece that uses this warm colour for its case, bracelet and dial.?While most of us will certainly picture the Tissot PRX as a full steel watch worn on a matching bracelet – this is how, according to us, the design makes the most sense – Tissot has long decided to offer variations. This includes watches with a leather or a rubber
