Hands-On with the very Monochrome Hublot Big Bang Unico Sapphire All Black - Monochrome Watches
Monochrome and exposing intricate mechanics definitely sounds like something we love here, at Monochrome-Watches! Living up to the promise and presented at Baselworld 2016, the Hublot Big Bang Unico Sapphire All Black features a smoked transparent case crafted out of sapphire, based on the already introduced clear version. Time to go hands-on with a time-stopper not to be left in the dark.Light and ShadowsWhen Hublot presented the Big Bang in 2005, innovation in materials was the central idea. Its sandwiched' case construction was designed to work with different metals or composites, and was the platform to build exploration expertise in innovative materials: scratchproof gold (the Magic Gold, Hublot's own alloy, a porous ceramic filled with 24k gold), hi-tech ceramics, magnesium or carbon fiber to name a few - and even some high-end Berluti leather. Technical Guide - The Difference Between Office GMT and Travel GMT Watches
The world of watches is full of complications. I know, the name can be somewhat deceptive since the idea behind a complication is to bring the user something practical… well, most of the time, at least. Dozens of functions can be added to a watch, but few are as practical in real life as the GMT or dual time complication. A true blue-collar complication, on the same level as the chronograph or the diving bezel (something that can’t be said about an equation of time), there isn’t, however, just one type of GMT watch. To simplify, we can break up the GMT category into two variants: the true or traveller’s GMT and the office or caller GMT. Today, we take a closer look at the complication, so you know exactly what to expect when looking for your next GMT watch. What is a GMT watch? The creation of the first GMT watches resulted from a shift in society. Following WWII and the advent of commercial and intercontinental flights, mankind started to travel more frequently.
Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Chrono reviewed - Monochrome Watches
When Omega introduced the new Seamaster Planet Ocean with the new in-house caliber 9300 last year, this was something that really interested me. Omega was so kind to let me review this dive watch with impressive specifications and impressive dimensions. ?It takes a few days or weeks to get a good idea what a watch is really like and how it’s on the wrist. Is it really that big or heavy, does wear comfortable, how is it in different circumstances, is it easy to read the time and how does it perform? I strapped the Seamaster Planet Ocean Chrono on the wrist for six weeks and wrote a review. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotto do it… Ad - Scroll to continue with article When I became interested in watches, the Omega Seamaster ‘James Bond’ was one of the first watches that caught my attention. Together with the Submariner and

Industry LVMH Announces Strong Results for Q1 2021
LVMH, the world's largest luxury goods company, has just released its results for the first quarter of 2021. At 14 billion euros, sales are up 32% compared to the first quarter of 2021 (+30% on an organic basis). This rebound was to be expected given the favourable comparison with sales from Q1 2020. Still, sales beat consensus estimates and are 8% above the first quarter of 2019, when the COVID-19 pandemic wasn’t something we would have even considered. This positive result echoes the rebound of luxury sales driven by China and the USA, while the recovery in Europe is slower; Q1 sales were up 86% in Asia excluding Japan, up 23% for the USA, up 85% for Japan and down 9% for Europe, where lockdowns policies are still in place in some countries. All activities contributed to this performance, with the exception of Selective Retailing, which was still impacted by the restrictions on international travel. For what is our main concern, at 1,883 million euros, the Watches & Jewelry b
