This piece showcases style and brilliance. The cobalt blue dial stands out clearly and also contrasts well with the silver toned index markers and the skeletonized hands of the watch. The dial also displays the date at the 4' o clock mark, the bezel of the watch is titanium. The bracelet of the watch is made also from titanium similar to that of the bezel giving the design uniformity. The bracelet of the watch deviates from traditional clasps and fastens with a deployment buckle.

Dutch Watch Collector Paul, On Building His Dream Dress Watch, The Angelier Classique
I’m pretty sure that at one point in every watch enthusiast’s life, the inspiration to design your own watch pops into your head. Through buying, owning and possibly selling watches, we tend to get a pretty good feeling of the pros and cons of what’s out there. The next step would be to put that design to paper, which is a leap only a handful of people will make. Even fewer will take that design and actually seek out patterns and suppliers to make it a reality. And from that handful of projects, only a small percentage will actually make it. And from all of that wheat-from-chaff separating, just a handful will turn into a commercial brand. Such are the challenges in building your dream watch, which takes guts, perseverance, a clear vision, and a little bit of luck. With all this in mind, we turn to Paul Angelier, a Dutchman whose story follows this path and who’s building his actual dream dress watch. And through the support (and demands, it seems) of a good num
Spotted - Jason Momoa, Star of Aquaman, Wearing Cartier Tank Louis Cartier XL
Actor Jason Momoa is best known to audiences worldwide for playing the superhero Aquaman in the DC universe films Aquaman?and Justice League, and the character of Khal Drogo in the first season of HBO's Game of Thrones. So in terms of watches, what could fit the wrist of this big guy…?Momoa is over 6 feet tall (1.82m) and weighs approximately 100 kilograms, so in terms of watches, you would expect him to be wearing XXL timepieces such as an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore, a Hublot Big Bang or a 44mm Panerai Luminor But you'd be wrong.Lilakoi Moon and Jason Momoa attend the cocktail at Fendi Couture Fall Winter 2019/2020 on July 4, 2019 in Rome, Italy. (Photo by Daniele Venturelli/Daniele Venturelli/ Getty Images for Fendi)Surprisingly, he wears a timepiece which is the polar opposite of the abovementioned watches, from the famed jewellery Maison and watchmaker Cartier. I knew that Momoa wears a Cartier, but I had been unsuccessful in identifying the watch until now. After bro
Hands-On - TAG Heuer Monaco 1989-1999 Edition 50th Anniversary CAW211X.FC6468 (Specs & Price)
Today in New York, TAG Heuer just presented the third of five limited-edition timepieces to mark the Heuer Monaco’s 50th anniversary. We could have expected the brand to come with faithful vintage re-editions, but instead, TAG Heuer will create 5 watches inspired by 5 different decades. After a funky 1970s Green version and a bold, fiery red racing-inspired model for the 1980s, it is time to look at the 1990s, a decade driven by industrial-design and street-style fashion. Meet the TAG Heuer Monaco 1989-1999 Limited Edition and its unprecedented grey-blue design.50th Anniversary – 5 decades – 5 TAG Heuer MonacoThe Heuer Monaco was presented in 1969. Back then, it was one impressively modern watch, for two reasons. First, the square shape of its case was bold, unprecedented and was matched with an equally bold, brushed blue dial. Second, inside the case was Calibre 11; a movement known as the Chrono-Matic, which was the result of a joint-venture uniting Heuer, Breitling
Hands-On Greubel Forsey Balancier Contemporain (Specs & Price)
In the last years we have seen two very different faces of Greubel Forsey: on the one hand, we get extraordinarily complex watches with big cases and uneven shapes that look like a boxer after an unsuccessful fight night. Its famous GMT?is a prime example of that. On the other hand, GF also produces watches with round cases and simpler dials. Still the same insane obsession with the best finishes possible, but less information and a more traditional arrangement. It started with the Tourbillon 24 Secondes Vision, with live pictures here, that secured the manufacture the 2016 Aiguille d’Or, the highest prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve (GPHG). That same year we saw the Signature 1, with an even simpler structure. And that’s the case of the new Greubel Forsey Balancier Contemporain.Matters of SizeIn the case of the Greubel Forsey Balancier Contemporain, the size of the case is a complication in itself, because the original idea was to fit Greubel Forsey̵
Omega Watches Launches Its Online Boutique in Europe
In tune with the times – and also with the current situation, with most brick-and-mortar shops closed – Omega goes digital and now offers the possibility for European collectors to purchase most of its watches online, via a newly opened boutique on its official website. This means that you can now order your Speedy or your Bond watch from home, and directly from the brand. The concept of an online boutique isn’t new to Omega Watches since the brand has been operating digital sales in the US and UK markets for a couple of years now – the US market benefited from the brand’s first online boutique back in 2017. Relying on this existing and successful track-record, the brand has decided to open its online boutique to the European market, with a wide selection of watches from the Speedmaster, Seamaster, Constellation and De Ville collections.
