The Tissot Seastar Powermatic 1000 from the T-classic collection is a must-have. The bracelet is created from a hefty, stainless steel material. Moreover, the strap is made from a combination of grey and yellow gold colors. Therefore, you get durability as well as a brilliant look. This watch is water-resistant up to 300 meters. Recommended: LVMH To Bring Back Gerald Genta As A Stand-Alone Brand
Only a week ago, we’ve seen the comeback of yet another legendary name, Daniel Roth, and the introduction of the first watch of the new era. Behind the project is no other than Jean Arnault, fifth and last?child of luxury giant Bernard Arnault, owner of LVMH, back up by the master watchmakers of La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton. There is another brand that has once been owned by?Bulgari (just like Roth) that is about to comeback as a stand-alone brand, and it’s that of a legend of the watch industry, Gerald Genta. And LFT Louis Vuitton and 24-years-old Arnault are again behind this?resurrection, as reported by Nick Foulkes for the Financial Times. As Foulkes explains, Arnault father and son discussed watchmaking and the name Genta came up in a conversation, re-discovering that the LVMH Group was owning it, under management of Bulgari, yet relatively dormant in the past 20-plus years. Which lead to the decision to revive the brand, “Arnault is relaunching the brand. G
Introducing the TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 Chrono Black Titanium
On the sidelines of SIHH 2017, TAG Heuer and the other watch brands in?the LVMH Group (Hublot and Zenith) will?be presenting novelties to journalists and retailers who have flocked to Geneva for the week. Following on from?the full Black Ceramic Heuer-01 we showed you earlier this week, TAG returns to?the roots of its collection, with a sporty and masculine Carrera Chronograph, dressed in black and beige, for a slight vintage look. Here is the?TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 Chrono Black Titanium with brown strap. This new watch is in the same vein as?existing watches of the brand, such as this model. Visually, we have the great, racing-oriented Carrera style, with the typical case (facetted lugs) and a legible outer tachymeter scale printed on the bezel. The dial features the usual large decimal numerals (and no hour indexes), a day and date configuration and an automatic chronograph movement (based on the 7750). This watch has been in the collection for 10 years already and so?TAG Heuer
Buying Guide: 6 More Budget-Friendly Geneva Watch Days Novelties
Last week’s selection of novelties from Geneva Watch Days were our personal picks from everything new we’ve seen during our stay in the Swiss capital. Looking back at the list, we stand by our choices, but one thing stood out: all but one watch cost tens of thousands of euros, if not more. While that’s all fine, of course, it’s far from attainable for the average watch enthusiast or collector. Not all of us have the means to purchase a hand-finished tourbillon watch set in rose gold with a sticker price of CHF 155,000. So, with that in mind and plenty more watches on show during this year’s Geneva Watch Days, let’s tone things down to a more sensible level and go shopping for a new watch below EUR 5,000 instead!Doxa 300T AristeraWith the introduction of the 300-piece limited edition SUB 300T Aristera, Doxa caters to left-handed people by putting the crown at 9 o’clock instead of the traditional 3 o’clock position. Fortunately, all the res
The Cartel on W&W 2021 - Andrew, RJ, Wei and Frank Talk "Batshit Crazy Watches" - Monochrome Watches
If you’re still here it’s that, actually, our talks over Zoom were somehow entertaining… Well, at least we had fun doing them! So we meet again, Andrew (Time+Tide), Robert-Jan (Fratello), Wei (Revolution) and I, and this time the topic was “Batshit Crazy Watches” but… We all had a different interpretation of this, ending up in a very, very weird discussion and more?disagreements than agreements, as Wei, the host of the day, tries to get this round. And in advance, sorry Panerai and your e-Steel…!Just like the days before this third instalment, we all threw in some cool items to be gifted, randomly to anyone who (intelligently) comments on our rant. So do hit the keyboard and let us know your choice in the “Batshit Crazy Watches” (interpretation is up to you) and try to win one of Wei’s famous cigars – negroni-pairing mandatory! Introducing A New Take On The Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton
The Rado Captain Cook collection is a skilful blend of retro vibes and high-tech materials. Ok, it’s also available in more conventional stainless steel or bronze but the high-tech ceramic models will always be a bit extra special. It displays Rado’s industry-leading know-how of the material and the brand’s ability to apply it to any style of watch. Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen many interesting and cool combinations of colour and even skeleton models. Continuing from last year’s Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton Limited Edition, Rado adds a new non-limited ‘gunmetal’ grey and gold-coloured model to the collection.Rado is a master when it comes to ceramic applications in watches, and it shows in the high-tech ceramic case for this Captain Cook, finished in a cool dark grey colour. This innovative material is extremely resilient to scratches and has a cold, tactile feel to it. The case is topped with a rose gold PVD-coated beze
