Introducing: The New Bulgari Serpenti Pallini High-Jewellery Collection
It’s fair to say that Bulgari's ultra-thin Octo Finissimo watches have stolen the limelight for the past decade. However, Bulgari's laurels have rested for decades on its fabulous and creative high-jewellery watches, spearheaded by the brand's mascot, the Serpenti. Decked with fabulous gemstones, flexible Tubogas straps or whirling with tourbillons, Bulgari's Serpenti has countless guises. A new trilogy of Serpenti Pallini jewellery watches powered by Bulgari's miniature Piccolissimo calibre form part of the brand’s novelties unveiled during Geneva Watch Days. Bulgari's theme this year is sound, and the rare en tremblant setting of the tiny gold beads and diamonds that quiver with the slightest movement generate tiny vibrations.Bulgari's first Serpenti watch appeared in the late 1940s with a tubular coiling Tubogas bracelet. From the mid-1950s on, the Serpenti took on more realistic features, and the dial was hidden under a hinged cover on the snake's head. The muse for the

First Look: Manufacture Fleury Revives the Legendary Lemania 2310 Chronograph Movement
Social media can be a wonderful tool. When we discovered the initial pictures of the new chronograph movement from Manufacture Fleury a few weeks back, it immediately tickled our interest. Now that the dust from Watches and Wonders has settled, we have contacted Jean-Marc Fleury to find out more A few days later, we hit the road to the outskirts of Geneva to visit his workshop and get our hands on several prototypes of his Chronograph FXR-4. And to check its movement, derived from one of the most beautiful calibres of all times: the Lemania 2310.An experienced professional in the watch industry, Jean-Marc Fleury has been manufacturing watch parts since 2017 through his company Suisse Precision Composants. In his workshops based in Choulex, on the outskirts of Geneva, he produces components, meticulously crafted in small series, with an approach mostly tailored for independent watchmakers. First Look: The New Alpina Alpiner Extreme Chronograph
The Alpiner Extreme collection is Alpina's take on the hyper-popular category of sports watches with integrated bracelets. Relaunched in 2022 with a robust cushion-shaped case and a textured dial, the first model took many by surprise with its regulator dial, a throwback to a popular and massive 48mm Alpina model known as the Avalanche Regulator of 2005. Following hard on the heels of the Regulator, Alpina introduced a more straightforward automatic with time and date. Today, the Alpiner Extreme collection welcomes a third and appropriately sporty model with the launch of a chronograph. Ad - Scroll to continue with article Renowned for its rugged all-terrain watches for outdoor adventures, Alpina's founder, Gottlieb Hauser, laid down the four fundamental pillars of a sports watch in 1938. Known as the Alpina 4 concept, a sports watch should be anti-magnetic, sho
First Look: The Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle and Patrimony 270th-Anniversary Collection
Select members of Vacheron Constantin's Traditionnelle and Patrimony families have been invited to join in the 270th-anniversary celebrations. Eight references from both families have been singled out for the special treatment and flaunt dials decorated with a unique motif created for the 270th anniversary of the brand. As important as the dial, the manufacture calibres are also given distinctive finishings that will set them apart as anniversary pieces. The Traditionnelle collection pays homage to Geneva's haute horlogerie traditions. Distinguished by its classic cases with stepped lugs, fluting and a slender bezel, other features of this family are the railway-style minutes track, the faceted gold Dauphine hour and minute hands and the applied gold hour markers. The Patrimony collection is inspired by the ultra-thin round timepieces crafted by Vacheron Constantin in the 1950s. Characterised by an elegant minimalism, Patrimony timepieces share gently domed dials with slender curved hou
