A. Lange & Sohne Richard Lange Pour le Merite White Gold Black Dial
When the words “Pour le Merite” are attached to the name “A. Lange & Sohne“, you know it’s going to be hard to resist and you know it’s going to be complicated. Why? This nomenclature in Lange’s collections means a watch equipped with a fusee and chain transmission (like this one or the outstanding?Tourbograph) – and that is far from being an usual construction for a wristwatch. First introduced in 2009 in a limited edition of 200 pieces in pink gold and 50 pieces in platinum, the?A. Lange & Sohne Richard Lange “Pour le Merite” was supposed to be sold out… Well, thankfully it’s back, in a new limited run of 218 pieces, now in white gold with a stunning black dial. What you’ll get with the?A. Lange & Sohne Richard Lange “Pour le Merite” is a combination of extreme simplicity, superior refinement and overall discretion, linked to a very high mechanical sophistication. Indeed, this watch m
Hands-On - Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding 37mm 15550ST
Refreshing a watch that has marked the identity of a brand for fifty years, which saved the brand from the onslaught of quartz in the 1970s and gave birth to an entirely new genre known as the luxury sports watch, is a delicate balancing act. One too many tweaks and you risk altering its gene pool; no change at all, and you perpetuate a dinosaur. As our readers know, Gerald Genta’s 1972 luxury stainless steel sports watch, christened the Royal Oak, marked a before and after in watch design, spawning one of the most competitive segments in the watch market today. Although the stars of the 50th-anniversary celebrations of the Royal Oak were the?RO Jumbo Extra-Thin 16202 and the Openworked 16204, the brand announced that the range of permanent Royal Oaks would also be updated throughout 2022, which includes this RO Selfwinding 37mm with a new automatic movement. As you will discover, the facelift in no way alters the physiognomy of Genta’s dynamic design but refines its silhou
Audemars Piguet Millenary Frosted Gold Philosophique - Review, Price
The new Audemars Piguet Millenary Frosted Gold Philosophique challenges the conventional way of reading time with just one hand for the hours and minutes. Clearly not a watch for people obsessed with chronometer-grade precision, time is meant to be read approximately, give or take a few minutes here and there. Original and bristling with unusual textures and finishes, the Millenary Philosophique sports a new automatic movement and comes in two versions: 18k pink gold with a brown dial and 18k white gold with a blue dial. Let’s have a look at this unusual and poetical timepiece.ProvenanceThe distinguishing feature of Audemars Piguet's Millenary collection is its oval-shaped case. Introduced in 1995, it originally catered for men and women alike but since 2015 only features women's models in the line-up. With its generous case size of 39.5mm, the Millenary has become something of a showcase for creativity, artisanal skills and unconventional, off-centred dials often exposing parts

Travelling further East is the Singapore Watch Club, which was founded in 2015 and has been gathering collectors and watch enthusiasts for over eight years.
