Buying Guide - The best colourful dials of 2022
If there’s one thing we’re very happy (and somewhat surprised) about regarding the watchmaking industry is the fact that many brands are stepping out of the limelight and fully embracing colour. And we’re not talking about small dabs of colour in a delicate form of artistic expressionism, but using colour to its fullest in a watch. Bright, bold colours beyond the habitual black, white and silver. Colours that make a watch truly pop on the wrist and can grab attention from across the room. You might have expected a Buying Guide of green dials only, but we’ve gone for even bolder choices just to mix things up a bit. With that being said, here’s our Top of the Colour Watches 2022!Nomos Club Campus Deep PinkComing out of the gates swinging, there are very few dials that pack a punch like the Nomos Club Campus Deep Pink! Despite its small size, this is hands-down the brightest, most in-your-face dial tone we’ve seen this year. The bright pink tone jumps a
Bell & Ross WW2 Regulateur Officer - Full review (live photos, specs & price) - Monochrome-Watches
Bell & Ross introduced the WW2 collection a couple of years back with their military inspired WW2 Regulateur, known at that time as the Regulateur Bomber. They've dropped that name, for quite obvious reasons I can imagine, now they bring a new edition that is a little more sophisticated than the original: the Bell & Ross WW2 Regulateur Officer. Here is the full review after several weeks on the wrist. The first Bell & Ross WW2 Regulateur, introduced during Baselworld 2012, was inspired by an old bomb-timer that pilots used to have strapped to their leg. This timing instrument was used to time the release of a bomb as exact as possible to obtain their objectives and destroy their designated targets (these watches are a specific kind of navigation tools. You can read our in-depth history of pilot watches here: part 1 - part 2 - part 3 - part 4 - part 5). No high-tech GPS wizardry or computer guided smart-bombs were available yet so the pilots had to rely on their own basic ins
Hands-On - Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Nekton Edition (Price)

What's old is new again, and Omega's Seamaster 1948 gets a second lease of life in 2018 with two limited edition models that capture the retro spirit of the originals combined with turbo-charged 21st-century engines in the form of Co-Axial Master Chronometer movements. Seventy years down the line, the Seamaster 1948 reappears to seduce a new generation of buyers with two very attractive models, one with central seconds and the other with a small seconds sub-dial. With their elegant 38mm cases, monochromatic silver dials, Spartan aesthetics and non-existent date window, the Seamaster 1948 models were definitely one of our favourites at Baselworld 2018.Brothers in armsLaunched in 1948 to coincide with Omega's centenary, the Seamaster is Omega's most veteran line in the current collection and the granddaddy of Omega's powerful family of diving instruments -including the Seamaster Diver 300m Bond watch. As the direct descendant of Omega's utilitarian wristwatches supplied in bulk to the Br
SIHH 2017 - Vacheron Constantin Les Cabinotiers Symphonia
SIHH 2017 - Vacheron Constantin unveils its first ever Grande Sonnerie wristwatch with the one-of-a-kind Les Cabinotiers Symphonia Grande Sonnerie 1860, a horological masterpiece boasting ingenious security devices, a smart strike-mode selector operated via the bezel and phantom quarters elimination. It's an impressive watch that we present to you today (and one that we'll be reviewing in greater detail once the SIHH over). The grande sonnerie and petite sonnerie hold a special place in the world of Haute Horlogerie. There is only a handful of watchmakers capable of manufacturing such works of arts, often regarded as the ultimate horological complication. Both the grande and petite sonnerie strike the hours and quarters in passing, though only the grande sonnerie repeats the hours at every quarter. Usually, they feature a selector to silence the mechanism and are combined with a minute repeater to chime time on demand. Their creation requires utmost technical expertise as hundreds of co
