Here comes a piece that personifies ultimate grace and elegance- the Cronometro Tipo CP-2 Flyback in the color bronze by Zenith. The watch is a modern interpretation of the brands original 1960's military style. Aesthetics play a huge role in intensifying the attractiveness of the Cronometro, the bronze case matched with the grainy brown dial. Plus its caliber has an automatic winding movement with a power reserve of up to 50 hours.

In-Depth: The David Candaux DC1 Titanium is Why We Love Independent Horology
David Candaux, an independent watchmaker and member of the Academie Horlogere des Createurs Independants (AHCI) since 2019, is regarded as one of the most talented creators in contemporary horology. To understand and appreciate his work, it is important to remember his professional journey and the philosophy that infuses his timepieces with unique character, and the DC1 Titanium Inclined Tourbillon we have had the pleasure to handle, his latest creation, is a watch that exemplifies Candaux‘s innovative spirit and technical prowess.Who is David Candaux, and a look at his workBorn into a lineage of master watchmakers in the Vallee de Joux, David Candaux began his formal training in 1994 when, at just 15 years old, he commenced an apprenticeship with Jaeger-LeCoultre while studying at the Technical School of the Vallee de Joux (ETVJ). During that time, he met with Gunter Blumlein, then a towering influence in the watchmaking world back then, and Henry-John Belmont, then CEO of Jaege
Hands-on: A Personal Take On The Stunning Moritz Grossmann Hamatic
To kick things off, this will be a very personal story, and yes, it is about a mechanical watch. When I first got into watchmaking, I knew very little about the history of the industry or the different regions in the world that dominate it. My knowledge came from magazines, movies and TV shows, billboards and the early days of social media, and that was about it. That is until I joined MONOCHROME in 2012 and started to seriously fall down the proverbial rabbit hole. My knowledge and experience grew, my interests shifted, and a whole world of new and exciting brands opened up, from very small one-man outfits to corporate behemoths. Over the years, my preferences continued to shift, and I have developed a deep love for German watchmaking, specifically from the Glashutte region. There’s just something special about how watches from this part of the world are made. And I’m not arguing if they’re better than Swiss or Japanese-made high-end watches, but the style is very pu
Hands-On - TAG Heuer Carbon Aquaracer Calibre 5 Special Trilogy (Specs & Price)
Move over ceramic, here comes carbon. Carbon fibre is the flavour of the day in the material world giving watches a high-tech stealth look associated with the world of F1 and competitive sailing. Following in the wake of the highly successful Carbon Monaco customized by Bamford, TAG Heuer presents three Aquaracer models decked out with carbon fibre details and housed in a 41mm black PVD-coated titanium hull. All three Aquaracers, differentiated by their colour schemes, will be put on sale today, along with the much anticipated Monaco Bamford unveiled back in March 2018. Before we look at the three models in detail, two points need clarifying: the Aquaracers have not been customized by Bamford and the cases, unlike the Monaco Bamford, are not made from solid carbon fibre. There are carbon fibre details on the case, however, and the good news for fans of the Aquaracer is that you can get the same cool look of a customized Bamford for roughly half the price. The genesis of the AquaracerTAG
Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Automatic Tadao Ando Black Ceramic hands-on
Time has many faces. Acclaimed Japanese architect Tadao Ando envisions time as a spiral that winds in a continuous and gradually widening curve around a central point. In his first collaboration with Bvlgari in 2019, Ando represented the inexorable passing of time with a mesmerising spiral engraved on the dial of the Octo Finissimo Automatic emanating from the off-centred seconds hand. In line with the dial’s stark minimalism, there were no hour markers, numerals or logos on the first Octo Finissimo collaboration piece.? Bearing the same technical specifications and case design of the record-breaking Octo Finissimo Automatic, this year, Ando has created a dial inspired by Mikazuki, the Japanese term for a crescent moon, or the moon on the third day of the lunar month'.Tadao AndoJapanese architect Tadao Ando (Osaka, 1941) is revered as a national treasure in Japan. Renowned for his minimalist concrete structures, Ando infuses his architecture with Japanese cultural and religious i
