Concorso d'Eleganze Villa d'Este 2013 - Event Recap - Monochrome Watches
Earlier this year I was invited by A. Lange & Sohne to visit the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, in Italy. The Concorso d’Eleganza is one of the most prestigious classic car events in the world. Although I’m no total petrol head, I said yes and enjoyed a most wonderful trip and relished the sight of magnificent automobiles. I prepared for you a short and sweet event recap, with many photos of the most wonderful historic cars. The Concorso d’Eleganza is an?the elegance competition for classic and vintage cars, and it takes place in and around the beautiful Villa d’Este,?on the shores of Lake Como in Italy. It has been organized every single year, since 1929! Well, the Italians love beautiful cars. Omega Railmaster Master Chronometer Denim Blue (Specs & Price)
Following up on the release of the first Railmaster Co-Axial Master Chronometers?last year (with anthracite or silver dials), Omega has introduced a denim blue version for 2018. Not much has changed in a year and a few cosmetic tweaks are the stars of the show, but they make a real difference in the overall look and feel. It may seem a bit like more of the same, but last year's models were attractive and well priced with chronometer-certified movements, making them almost a bargain for what you were getting. The denim blue edition adds to the portfolio with a fresh coat of paint and new strap. Let's take a closer look. The all-brushed stainless steel case is still a very wearable 40mm in diameter (12.65mm in height) with a domed sapphire crystal that sports an anti-reflective coating on both sides. It has a screw-in crown and water-resistance to 150m, which isn't groundbreaking, but enough to ensure a tight seal when swimming or casual diving. The steel case back has Omega's NAIAD LOCK

Our buddies from Fratellowatches are crazy about the Omega Speedmaster. Not just crazy, but seriously nuts about that watch, its history, its legacy, all the different models and well, just everything about the Speedmaster a.k.a. Moon Watch. Every Tuesday they post a story about yet another highly collectable and rare Speedmater. The crown on more than a year of Speedy Tuesday is coming soon: the Speedy Tuesday Event! The Speedy Tuesday Event will be held on Tuesday the 29th of October, and starts at 16:00 (GMT+1). The location perfectly suits this event: the Space Expo, ESA-ESTEC's visitor centre in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. There will be many new and vintage (lots of vintage!!) Speedmasters and the entire day will be hosted by the Fratello team and Omega representatives. This is of course an event not to be missed for any Speedmaster addict and THE place to meet fellow collectors.? Hey, they even fly in the former NASA engineer James Ragan, who was responsible for selecting and test
introducing: A Trio Of Evocative H Moser & Cie X Bucherer Watches
In the world of luxury watch retailers, Bucherer holds a rather special place. Not only has it been announced that has acquired the well-established watch retailer (the biggest in the world), but it also has a long history of collaborative watches. Always revolving around some kind of blue, these Bucherer limited editions can range from relatively affordable to astronomically expensive. As they share a common theme, though, the result is, more often than not, rather striking. The latest special edition pieces to be released see Bucherer return to the creativity of H. Moser & Cie?for a trilogy of watches based on the Pioneer and Endeavour Concept watches.Pioneer Tourbillon Concept AventurineThe first of the three is perhaps the most sporty of the bunch, although I wouldn’t go on a wild adventure with it. The Pioneer Tourbillon Concept Aventurine is based on a watch we’ve seen earlier this year. The rose gold and black DLC-finished titanium case holds a midnight-blue av
