SIHH 2015 - A. Lange & Sohne Datograph Perpetual Grey Dial White Gold - Hands-on with live photos, specs & price - Monochrome Watches
What can we say about the?A. Lange & Sohne Datograph that hasn't already been said? Certainly one of the finest chronographs of all time, but?if you add a perpetual calendar to the package, what do you receive back? A superb, exclusive, technical and desirable timepiece. Is this QP edition better than the chronograph only? Maybe not. Anyway, the?A. Lange & Sohne Datograph Perpetual is pure horological sweetness and for the 2015 edition of the SIHH, the German manufacture decided to slightly update it by bringing a new colour and a new material. We said new… Well, not exactly!Let us go back to the very beginning of SIHH 2015. We presented you the Datograph Up/Down in its Pink gold edition, which was a reissue of an old watch. Indeed, the first execution of the Datograph (not Up/Down) was already available in this pink gold / black dial combination. Well, A. Lange & Sohne is now using?the exact same recipe for the Datograph Perpetual. The combination of a white gold cas
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Tourbillon Chronograph for Watches & Wonders - Monochrome Watches
In 2011 Audemars Piguet introduced the first Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Tourbillon Chronograph. It was introduced in a carbon case, a daring choice from Audemars Piguet to introduce a tourbillon chronograph in the big Offshore, and even go for a carbon case instead of precious metal. For the upcoming Watches & Wonders fair, in Hong Kong, Audemars Piguet redesigned the watch to reveal the peripheral rotor mechanism on the dial. In 1993 Audemars Piguet introduced the Royal Oak Offshore, the Royal Oak’s more muscular sibling. Best known is the Offshore Chronograph (6 new versions have been introduced earlier this year) and the Offshore Diver. Maybe not the first thing to expect when you see this very robust and sporty watch, but it has also hosted a variety of complications, from an Annual Calendar to a Grand Complication. The first Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph was released in 2010. It came in a forged carbon case and featured a manually-wound movement inside. I

Because of this, it's been used in thousands of watches, from affordable to truly high-end ones, showing how versatile and appealing it is, but also how influential it has been for the industry. We gladly mark the 50 years of the Valjoux 7750 by offering a look at its origins, characteristics and importance to the industry.Valjoux – 1901 to 1983, from Reymond Freres SA to ETAThe most better-known and pervasively present chronograph movement was created by a company founded in 1901 b
Sinn x The Rake and Revolution 155 Bundeswehr Dark Star - Introducing (Specs & Price)
It has become a recurring thing for magazines Revolution and The Rake to offer limited edition watches to their readers. Some of them, such as the Bell & Ross Bellytanker or the Chopard Salmon Dial, were surprisingly pleasant. Today’s collab watch goes one step further and the result is the epitome of cool. Indeed, Revolution and The Rake have teamed up with German watchmaker Sinn to present a re-edition of the legendary Bundeswehr 1550 SG, issued in a limited run of 150 pieces. Meet the Sinn 155 Bundeswehr Dark Star. The Rake’s and Revolution’s latest collaborative project was a very nice, 36mm bronze cased IWC pilot’s watch. Following this military/vintagey/pilot theme, the two magazines owned by our friend Wei Koh are presenting another flight instrument, this time in collaboration with Sinn. It is toolish, it is vintage-inspired and it is cool, simply because it is a re-edition of the famed Bundeswehr 1550 SG watch. And that’s enough to tickle our i
First Look: The Full Gold IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40
Launched in 2023, the Ingenieur Automatic 40 pays tribute to the bold design of the Ingenieur SL Ref. 1832, created by Gerald Genta in the 1970s. While staying true to its iconic aesthetic, the re-engineered model offers improved ergonomics and refined finishing. As gold was also used to make the 1970s Ingenieur SL Ref. 9232, it's only fitting that IWC introduces a new Ingenieur Automatic 40 crafted in this precious metal. Its case, case back ring, bezel, crown guard, crown, and bracelet links are all gold, adding plenty of luxury to this legendary design. The new full-gold Ingenieur Automatic 40 maintains the signature case design of its steel and titanium counterparts, including the five functional bezel screws and dimensions - a 40mm diameter with a slim profile under 11mm. It features a convex sapphire crystal with AR coating and now introduces a transparent sapphire caseback. The satin-finished and polished gold surfaces add a refined touch, while its 100m water resistance is a sig
