Introducing: The Full-Platinum Omega Speedmaster 321 is a 6-Digit Endgame Speedy
Back in early 2019, Omega announced the comeback of the legendary Calibre 321 – or at least a faithful recreation of the movement that powered the brand’s emblematic Speedmaster from its introduction in 1957 until around 1968, when the brand switched to the more reliable Calibre 861. The first watch with this historic movement inside its case was a highly luxurious, highly expensive platinum Moonwatch with an onyx and meteorite dial – followed by the steel Speedmaster “Ed White” Moonwatch Calibre 321, possibly the ultimate Speedy for the fans. But Omega has silently released something rare, the endgame Speedmaster Moonwatch, a six-digit full platinum edition of this Speedmaster Calibre 321 first seen in 2019.The title of the most expensive Speedy is still in the hands of the crazy complicated Speedmaster Chrono Chime, a 45mm gold watch with an aventurine dial and a superb movement co-developed with Blancpain, featuring a split-seconds chronograph and a rep
First Look - Ferdinand Berthoud Chronometre FB1 now in Platinum (Specs & Price)
When Karl-Friedrich Scheufele (the co-owner of Chopard) embarked on resurrecting Ferdinand Berthoud, one of the greatest horologists of all times, his ambition was obviously not to release a servile replica of past glories. Distilling and recombining this unique legacy into a personal perspective, the contemporary watches bearing this illustrious name are singular. While displaying an obvious respect for the classics, the Ferdinand Berthoud FB1 is a modern take on this heritage. The result is truly exceptional, crafted and designed with exacting attention to details. The GPHG 2016 Aiguille d'Or award, one of the most (if not the most) meaningful industry accolades is no small achievement. After white and pink gold versions, Ferdinand Berthoud is now releasing a stunning platinum limited edition that premiered at Les Ambassadeurs, in Geneva.Ferdinand Berthoud - the revival of precision watchmaking Ad - Scroll to continue with article

The 1970s was a decade of revolutions. The world made huge strides creating some of the most impactful inventions coupled with striking designs. Well, if you are 1970s-ready and seeking a healthy dose of nostalgia, Hamilton celebrates the 50th anniversary of the world's first digital watch, the Pulsar. And it does it by re-editing this model in a very faithful way. Meet the brand new Hamilton PSR watch…not usual MONOCHROME material, but pretty groovy! The 1960s and 1970s were an era of rapid advancements in technology and the advent of electronics sparked a revolution in watchmaking. The first electric wristwatch was presented in 1957 by Hamilton; the 500 series was available in multiple cases, including the iconic Ventura. Although quartz technology had already been in use for several years for large precision clocks, the real challenge was to miniaturize this technology. In the 1960s, Swiss, American and Japanese watchmakers embarked on a race to develop the first applications o

Recap - The Best Watches Introduced by ORIS in 2021
Looking back at 2021 as Oris must be quite satisfactory since, at least according to us, it has introduced a fair number of very good watches. Of course, it’s mostly about the new Calibre 400 series of movements, developed in-house, but that's not all. Across pretty much all collections in the brand's arsenal, we saw new models with upgraded materials and specifications. And yet, as we kind of expect Oris to do so, each one remained relatively attainable. Oris knows where its strengths lie and show skill in using that. Here is our selection of the best new watches introduced in 2021 by ORIS.Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Calibre 403In constant production for over 80 years, the Big Crown Pointer Date is one of the true cornerstone collections for Oris. Last year Oris decided to update its prolific Big Crown Pointer Date with its new in-house Calibre 403 automatic movement.
