This is another sturdy looking wristwatch that can stand in a crowd. The bright silver shines pretty uniquely with the jet black dial base. The dial house eight silver rectangular bars, three subdials, and a small aperture for the date of the week at 3 o' clock. The minute markers can be found at the outer rim of the dial. The dial, itself, is protected by sapphire crystal. The automatic timepiece features a power reserve of forty-two hours.

Weekly Watch Photo - A. Lange & Sohne and Horch - Monochrome Watches
The week always starts with a Weekly Watch Photo here at Monochrome Watches. The photos of this week are provided by German watch manufacture A. Lange & Sohne and they have created a set of brilliant photos… again! It is of course no surprise to you, that we just love the watches from A. Lange & Sohne. For their stylish classic looks, for the beautiful movements with three-quarter plate, for the brilliant finishing and for some of the most remarkable innovative timepieces of the last 15 years. So let’s enjoy the beauty of three of their latest timepieces in a befitting setting. The photo above show the 1815 Rattrapante Perpetual Calender that was introduced in January of this year. The watch is placed on a 1919 Horch four-cylinder engine (14/40 HP). I have to admit that I never heard of Horch, but after reading this article at Wikipedia, it’s become clear that Horch is the predecessor of what we know know as Audi. This name is actually based on the surname of t
Introducing 2021 Longines DolceVita Automatic Art-Deco Sector Dial
To be fair, the Longines DolceVita has never been the most appealing watch of the brand. Sure, it is elegant and certainly well executed, but its rectangular case and “Cartier-esque” dials could never really compete with the attractiveness of the Heritage collection. It is one of those collections that is simply overlooked by the watch community. However, without entirely changing the recipe, the winged hourglass brand has just launched a new edition that might change the situation. Here’s the 2021 Longines DolceVita Automatic with a cool Art Deco Sector Dial.?As mentioned, the DolceVita is a collection that doesn’t attract much attention and is often overlooked – apart from being one of the watches worn by French President Macron. Till today, most of the models were equipped with highly traditional “flinque” dials – a machine-applied process that looks like guilloche – and Roman numerals. Maybe a bit too shy and too classic.
Collector's Series - @herindependentstyle and Her Schwarz Etienne Fiji Floral Seconds
The passion for watches is something that needs to be shared, and this is what we try to do with this column. While we often discuss watches with men in the Collector's Series, there are also some women who have an utter passion for watchmaking. And today, we have both a story of transmitting the passion from a husband to his wife, who now also collects watches from indie watchmakers. @herindependentstyle is a 47-year-old watch aficionado from Utrecht, the Netherlands, with a passion for independent brands. Her watch, a Schwarz Etienne Fiji Floral Seconds in steel, is not a dime a dozen. The Dutch watch lover explains why this watch made her heart skip a beat.Frank Geelen, MONOCHROME – The watch you are wearing is not a household name. How did you get to know this brand? The Montblanc Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Meisterstuck 100 Years
Montblanc celebrates the 100th anniversary of the iconic Meisterstuck - a fine writing instrument synonymous with the brand. Interestingly, initially, the cigar-shaped pen with the handcrafted nib was created by Montblanc artisans exclusively for their use before being made available to the public in 1924. To mark the milestone, Montblanc released a special edition of the Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph Meisterstuck 100 Years, incorporating design elements inspired by the iconic Meisterstuck fountain pen; we share our impressions after a hands-on experience.Founded in 1906, Montblanc gained widespread recognition as a maker of fountain pens before expanding its offerings to include luxury leather goods, perfumes, and, since 1997, watches. Popular at the time jokes about Montblanc watches needing ink to run, quickly gave way to appreciation of how fast the brand mastered the watchmaking craft. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
First Look: The Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle and Patrimony 270th-Anniversary Collection
Select members of Vacheron Constantin's Traditionnelle and Patrimony families have been invited to join in the 270th-anniversary celebrations. Eight references from both families have been singled out for the special treatment and flaunt dials decorated with a unique motif created for the 270th anniversary of the brand. As important as the dial, the manufacture calibres are also given distinctive finishings that will set them apart as anniversary pieces. The Traditionnelle collection pays homage to Geneva's haute horlogerie traditions. Distinguished by its classic cases with stepped lugs, fluting and a slender bezel, other features of this family are the railway-style minutes track, the faceted gold Dauphine hour and minute hands and the applied gold hour markers. The Patrimony collection is inspired by the ultra-thin round timepieces crafted by Vacheron Constantin in the 1950s. Characterised by an elegant minimalism, Patrimony timepieces share gently domed dials with slender curved hou
