This collection of Chopard Dameur 18 Karat Gold Med REM features the 204780-5301 design. It has a very luxurious outlook. The dial is placed inside a sub bezel of diamonds encircling throughout. The dial has no indexes. The bezel then is surrounded by another rim of diamonds, between, these two is a placement of 5 diamonds on the strip case. The case is presented on a red satin strap. The watch indicates hours and minutes upon the guilloch¨¦ dial via two dainty central hands. The diamond-set case of the watch is made of 18K rose gold and boasts the brand's famous moving diamonds. The 18-carat gold case is the key feature of this overall look.

To celebrate the half-century of this iconic movement, Zenith has already released several great pieces, all based on the reference A386 – in steel as part of a special revival box, or in gold with 3 limited edition watches. Today, another of the inaugural 1969 El Primero watches will be reissued, the reference A384 – and its availability is bound to please aficionados. The Zenith El Primero, a movement first and foremostFifty years ago, in 1969, three brands/joint ventures revolutionised the watchmaking industry by launching – almost simultaneously – the first automatic chronograph movements. During the mid-1960s the time was ripe for the chronograph

Van Cleef & Arpels' Stephanie Rault Explains The Brand's Approach To Watchmaking
Each year, during the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve (or in short, the GPHG), one brand always stands out because it wins so many awards: Van Cleef & Arpels. It might not have been the name you expected; however, if you look at the sheer number of awards it has won over the years, it is more than impressive (three in the 2024 GPHG alone). While we have scarcely covered the typical high jewellery watches from Van Cleef & Arpels, the opening of a new boutique in Amsterdam was the perfect moment to learn more about the brand. For this, I turned to Stephanie Rault, European President of the Maison, to hear about Van Cleef & Arpels' watches and future plans.Van Cleef and Arpels Lady Arpels PlanetariumFrank Geelen, MONOCHROME – I mainly know Van Cleef & Arpels as a jewellery brand. If it wasn’t for the numerous prizes Van Cleef & Arpels has won or the rather spectacular Midnight Planetarium and the Lady Arpels Planetarium, both in collaboration with C
Atelier de Chronometrie AdC#8 Split Seconds Chronograph
Atelier de Chronometrie is something special in the watchmaking scene… Truly special. And what these Barcelona-based guys are doing is absolutely fascinating. ‘Handmade’ takes on its original meaning here and wristwatches in the Atelier are crafted in the good old traditional way. Specialized in 1940s-styled watches based on revived vintage Omega calibres, what you’re about to see is level 2 of Atelier de Chronometrie, an absolutely stunning Haute Horlogerie, hand-crafted, unique Split Seconds Chronograph that I’d love to wear upside-down, just to dive into this superb movement.?Today, we’ll start immediately with the movement. Not that the habillage isn’t worthy of being mentioned – far from that, actually – but the engine inside this watch is a masterpiece, a dream machine for chronograph and independent watchmaking lovers. And this is exactly the raison d’¨ºtre of this watch, which was a special order from a collector of ind
SIHH 2018 - Christian Selmoni of Vacheron Constantin, On The New Collection - Monochrome Watches
Yesterday, we told you about the brand new FIFTYSIX collection from Vacheron Constantin, which can be considered the brand's first major foray into entry-level pieces (relatively speaking). In this video, live from SIHH 2018, Christian Selmoni, Artistic Director of Vacheron Constantin tells us a bit more about what inspired the FIFTYSIX collection, as well as some of the other models the Maison will be introducing this year.As Brice highlighted in yesterday's article, when you think of Vacheron Constantin you don't generally associate the name with entry-level (aka affordable) timepieces. Founded in the mid-eighteenth century, Vacheron Constantin is one of the oldest watchmakers in the world and is well-known for its highly praised, exceptionally complicated timepieces created in precious metals using traditional techniques. Even well-established brands have to move with the times, however, and Vacheron Constantin is no exception. The brand is keen to attract new a new generation of wa
