Introducing: The Wildly Reflective Zenith Defy Extreme Mirror
Camouflage dials have been a big hit in the past couple of years, and we've covered several combat-ready models. Zenith pushes the camouflage concept to the extreme, giving its Defy Extreme a radical makeover with a reflective mirrored surface. Undoubtedly the boldest take on its high-performance 1/100th-of-a-second chronograph, the latest manifestation blends into its surroundings thanks to its distortion-free mirror-polished case, dial and bracelet.Zenith's Defy Extreme collection, released in 2021, is a high-testosterone brother of the Defy family, a lab rat of sorts to test out new materials on its powerful, angular case. Extreme in all senses, right down to the dual regulating organ, the regulator for the timekeeping beats at 5Hz while the second one for the chronograph whizzes at 50Hz to capture 1/100th-of-a-second chronograph readings. Hublot Black Ceramic Classic Fusion Extra Thin - Monochrome Watches
Last year, we saw something out of the ordinary from Hublot. An?extra-thin Classic Fusion?with a skeletonized dial that even stalwarts of the brand didn’t see coming. This year they up the ante even more with one simple addition, something that was missing from last year’s model, a black ceramic case. A nice looking addition to the titanium and rose gold versions that were introduced last year. Ad - Scroll to continue with article Hublot has been gaining ranks in the horological world since its inception simply due to its massive wrist presence of their slightly oversize watches. Needless to say, the trend for oversize watches may be short lived, but slimming it down is a step on the right direction for the pursuit of classicality while retaining the dynamic and modern codes that is Hublot.Last year’s model was a great step towards thinner in-h
Introducing The Oris x Bracenet A Special Edition Of The Aquis Date
Oris has been embracing sustainable materials for years, such as with the Oris Aquis Date Upcycle back in 2021 or the Dat Watt series. The brand also has a comprehensive sustainability report from 2022 that details many efforts to contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable world. A partnership with the social enterprise Bracenet has brought new upcycled dials from ghost fishing nets, which are debuting in the Oris X Bracenet. Benjamin Wenke and Madeleine von Hohenthal, founders of Bracenet, recycle these abandoned fishing nets that wreak havoc in the world's oceans, creating bracelets, bags, keychains and now watch dials. The two Oris X Bracenet special editions of the Aquis Date are differentiated by size, 43.5mm and 36.5mm in diameter, and both are 316L stainless steel. They're otherwise aesthetically identical with unidirectional rotating bezels and grey ceramic inserts, partial crown guards and screw-down crowns. A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial
