Weekly Watch Photo - Lange 1 Timezone for Concorso dEleganza - Monochrome Watches
There seems to become a new trend. Watch brands are making really lovely photos of their timepieces, like the IWC photos of the Big Pilot’s Watch we showed. Now we show you some new official photos A. Lange & Sohne made of the Lange 1 Timezone Piece Unique for Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este that we featured last week. The photos are made inside an old BMW 507 Roadster, a gorgeous classic and possibly one of my favorite cars of all times! Lange & Sohne took the ‘piece unique’ and draped it over a leather driver’s glove on the steering wheel. 2022 IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph 43 Manufacture Calibre
For many years, the classic Pilot’s Chronograph of IWC has been this very watch, the reference IW377709. This streamlined yet large 43mm watch has long been powered by a modified Valjoux 7750 movement and has been basically the entry-level option for anyone wanting a pilot’s chrono from the brand, with the emblematic design. Last year, IWC Schaffhausen brought something new, slightly more compact and powered by a more advanced proprietary movement, the Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41. Taking the exact same recipe, the brand now discreetly updates the larger model, by launching the new IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 43 references IW378001, IW378003 and IW378005.?Let’s make it honest from the beginning. What we’re looking at today is a very subtle evolution, at least visually speaking. Just like last week and the introduction of the new Pilot’s Watch Mark XX collection, we’re talking about small design updates, evolutions on the case and strap system

For seasoned collectors and long-time watch enthusiasts, the name Dr Helmut Crott will certainly sound familiar. But this discreet gentleman is a far cry from your typical flamboyant CEO or industry insider. Understated, humble but extremely knowledgeable. The kind of man that you can learn a lot from; a man with more than half a decade of experience in the watchmaking field, as a collector, an auctioneer, an author and even as the owner of a historical watch brand. You don’t get to hear this man often, but our friends at A Collected Man managed to spend a day with him, and the result in this inspiring interview. Dr Helmut Crott is one of the most important actors of the modern watch industry, specifically on the collecting side. Over his 50-year career, he’s been a collector, he worked together with Patek Philippe to source some of the watches now exhibited at the Museum, he started an eponymous auction house focused on watches – Dr Crot
First Look: The New Rado True Round Open Heart Collection
Since the launch of the Diastar, the world’s first scratchproof watch made from ultra-resilient tungsten carbide in 1962, Rado has become a byword for high-tech materials, especially high-tech ceramic. In tune with the latest trend for skeletonisation, Rado has issued a host of openworked models, ranging from golden oldies like the Captain Cook and Diastar to more contemporary models like the True Square Open Heart. Four models of the brand’s True Round high-ceramic collection are the next in line for treatment and roll into surgery for an open-heart operation. Unlike its predecessors, the surgery is far less invasive, resulting in a dial that has not compromised legibility in the name of skeletonisation.?Four models, including a limited edition, represent the new True Round Open Heart sub-collection. All four models share a monobloc 50m water-resistant high-tech ceramic case with a diameter of 40mm and a thickness of 10.4mm. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
