IWC Pilots Watch Timezoner Edition Le Petit Prince IW395503 - Hands-On
IWC has a long tradition of pilot’s watches, which goes back to as far as 1936, and includes some icons such as the 1940s Big Pilot's Watches or post-War Mark 11 models. Since the mid-1990s, the concept has become an entire collection of the Schaffhausen-based manufacture. However, there’s more than the classic models and the brand has developed special sub-collections such as the vintage Spitfire, the technical Top Gun or the Petit Prince, with trademark blue dials. Today, we give a closer look at the latest watch to bear this name, the recently-introduced Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Edition “Le Petit Prince” IW395503 and its rather interesting bezel mechanism. The “Le Petit Prince” collection commemorates the literary work of the author Antoine de Saint-Exupery, whose wonderful story The Little Prince is one of the best-selling books in literary history. Some Of The Coolest Nicknames in Automotive History, Part 1 - Monochrome Watches
Nicknames, I'm sure we all had one at one point in our life. Personally, I am sometimes referred to as the big guy due to my sturdy 2.01m frame. We also have quite a range of nicknames for watches; the Pepsi, Kermit and Hulk for instance, or the Omega Speedy, Tudor Snowflake, Seiko Tuna, etc. The list is almost endless. Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Tourbillon China Limited Edition
Swiss high-end manufacturer Vacheron Constantin has a long tradition of delivering specific watches to the Middle Kingdom. For instance, every year, the brand creates Metiers d’Art watches dedicated to the Chinese zodiac signs, such as the recently launched Year of the Tiger models. Today, Vacheron releases another model exclusively made for the Chinese market, however, in a much more restrained way. Entirely dressed in Imperial Green, here’s the new Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Tourbillon China Limited Edition. This exclusive model is not entirely new and is based on an existing (and very attractive) model, the automatic Traditionnelle Tourbillon with a peripheral rotor. What the brand has done here is to introduce a symbolic colour that echoes the culture of the country where these 30 pieces will be delivered. In China, the expression “a real gentleman is elegant and dignified just as the Jade” has been used since ancient times to describe a man with a no
