Luxury Watches |
This beauty is head to toe covered in stainless steel; with stainless steel dial and bracelet, this timepiece gives an aura of cleanliness and peace. The clean white dial houses four diamond markers for 3, 6, 9, and 12 o' clock respectively. The dainty-looking timepiece has a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. The dial is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, with a transparent case back. The timepiece is water resistant at 50 m or 165 ft.

Watches NEWS
Hands-on with the Lange & Sohne Grand Lange 1 Lumen - Monochrome Watches
Last week Lange & Sohne released a, for them, rather unusual timepiece. During a trip to the beautiful towns of Dresden and Glashutte, the new timepiece was revealed to the international press. Although differences with the regular Grand Lange 1 might seem minimal, the new Gand Lange 1 “Lumen” has a very different look.?The?hands, hour and minute markers, date and power reserve markers are equipped with SuperLuminova, a material that glows in the dark after being?activated by sunlight or artificial light. The new, partially transparent, dial not only has a functional reason, but?also give the Grand Lange 1 “Lumen” a much more contemporary look… stealthy! Ad - Scroll to continue with article The Lange 1 has become a true iconic timepiece, since its inception in 1994. In that year Lange & Sohne introduced their first four time
Pre-SIHH: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Acoustic Research - Minute Repeater 2.0 - Monochrome Watches
Audemars Piguet will be introducing an entirely new sort of minute repeater at the upcoming Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, or short SIHH. They spent eight years of sound research, involving a carefully chosen community of watchmakers, artisans, technicians and academics, which lead to three pending patents and this new minute repeater that sounds much louder than any repeater watch: the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Acoustic Research. Audemars Piguet has used a Royal Oak Concept watch before, to launch new technologies. That started with the Royal Oak Concept Watch 1 back in 2002, that was released for the 30th anniversary of the Royal Oak. The RO Concept Watch 1 was created of an entirely new alloy, comprising (for the watch industry) novel materials like cobalt, chrome, tungsten, carbon, silicon and some good old-fashioned steel. That one showcased not only the new alloy called Alacrite 602, but also a tourbillon with a unique shock protection system and a mechanism
Hands-On The Nomos Club Sport neomatik 37 Petrol Green
Since the release of its first collection in 1992, Nomos has never ceased to please with its minimalist designs, nice movements (specifically since it moved to in-house in 2005) and a particular flair for fun and lightness. Fresh, young, very German and at the same time thinking outside the box, the brand has recently made a move towards sportier, bolder designs, moving away from its traditional Bauhaus codes. We’ve seen this with the Club or Ahoi collections, particularly the 42mm Club Sport neomatik date, standing out with its 300m water-resistance, striking dial and steel bracelet. But, in my books, it was (way) too large. Problem solved with the new Nomos Club Sport neomatik 37. And now that it has made it to my wrist, I’m wondering if this could be a perfect Explorer alternative.Looking at this new Club Sport 37mm, another watch immediately came to mind: the classic Explorer 36mm,? one of my all-time favourites. Putting the vintage models aside (mostly the reference
Top 10 Monochrome's Readers Stories of Baselworld 2017
Baselworld 2017 is over. Thus, we, at the redaction, have to come with our Top 10 watches of the show. You’ve already seen Xavier Markl’s picks and Frank Geelen’s top 10 watches, combined with a quite critical take on the fair. Don’t worry, my best of the show will come later this week. But what about you, readers? What are the 10 watches you enjoyed discovering most during Baselworld 2017??To find out,?we looked at the 10 most read articles from the 22nd of March till the 30th of March 2017 and the results are?not that surprising…Analysis of the resultsBefore going into the top 10 stories you read (enjoyed, we hope) most, let’s take a look at what we can learn from this ranking. First of all, no surprise, these 10 watches all come?from the heavyweights of the industry: Seiko, , TAG Heuer, Omega, Tudor, Patek, Bell & Ross (with Frederique Constant making an incursion, but that’s justified by the beauty of their offer). Apart from the brand
Weekly Watch Photo: Tudor Black Bay Blue - Monochrome Watches
Shortly before Baselworld started this year, we tried to predict what Tudor would be presenting at?the world’s biggest watch show. Our prediction was not spot on, however the watches presented by Tudor (the Tudor Black Bay ref. 79220B and the Tudor Ranger ref. 79910) were even better than what we imagined. Especially the Black Bay with Midnight Blue bezel. That one was ‘talk of the town’ among the watch press for the entire week that Baselworld lasts. Photographer Vincent Lions also loved this watch and immediately ordered one, when he saw the first photos appear online. Lucky for us, because he made some splendid photos that we can share with you. It was this photo, with the Tudor Black Bay in the water, that caught our attention and moreover, the drawing of how the entire set-up that was necessary to make this photo. I never knew how much work it actually is to make such a photo, and honestly, I always imagined this is often more photoshop work than old-fashioned ph
