Luxury Watches |
Another extraordinary watch from the famous Hamilton; this Jazzmaster Automatic Stainless steel Men's Watch is created to set new standards of decency and style. Featuring a ravishing blue dial, the watch is marked with fragile silver-tone indexes and hour markers to glorify with the background. Moreover, a date column is there at the 3'o clock position that indicates the present date. A powerful working is enabled by a Hamilton caliber H-12 that allows an automatic functioning.

Concorso d'Eleganze Villa d'Este 2013 - Event Recap - Monochrome Watches
Earlier this year I was invited by A. Lange & Sohne to visit the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, in Italy. The Concorso d’Eleganza is one of the most prestigious classic car events in the world. Although I’m no total petrol head, I said yes and enjoyed a most wonderful trip and relished the sight of magnificent automobiles. I prepared for you a short and sweet event recap, with many photos of the most wonderful historic cars. The Concorso d’Eleganza is an?the elegance competition for classic and vintage cars, and it takes place in and around the beautiful Villa d’Este,?on the shores of Lake Como in Italy. It has been organized every single year, since 1929! Well, the Italians love beautiful cars. For the past ten years BMW is part of the organization and this year they introduced us on a new concept car, which was developed together with Pininfarina: the?BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe. First Look: The Girard-Perregaux Laureato 42mm Pink Gold Sage Green and Ultramarine Blue
One of the earliest models in the so-called luxury sports watch category, the Girard-Perregaux Laureato, was released in 1975 and powered by a quartz movement. In 1984, mechanical movements found their way into this original barrel-shaped watch, and this has become the norm since the return of the watch in 2016. Now an established collection with countless variations and colours, the Girard-Perregaux Laureato range extends once more this year with the addition of two original colours – sage green and ultramarine blue – inside luxurious pink gold cases.?The design of the Laureato was set in stone back in 1975, making it one of the earliest members of the highly regarded luxury sports watch category – and while it came after the all-important Royal Oak (1972), it predates three other icons, the Patek Nautilus (1976), the IWC Ingenieur (1976) and the Vacheron 222 (1977). A classic of the genre, the Laureato was built around a shaped case with an integrated bracelet. The
Longines Avigation Type A-7 1935 Review (Specs & Price)
It's quite common for brands to reissue watches from a bygone era, especially military and dive watches. The 2019 Rado Captain Cook Limited Edition, Seiko’s Prospex Diver 300m Hi-Beat SLA025 and Longines' own Avigation BigEye are recent examples (and let's not overlook the brand’s Legend Diver). The company's Heritage collection pays homage to many more vintage pieces and the Avigation Type A-7 1935 is a quirky one with design elements to help pilots read the time and operate the chronograph quicker. Modelled after a 1930s Type A-7 for the U.S. Army Air Corps, it appears as if the crown were fitted at 12 o'clock with the case then rotated 40 degrees to move it away from the lugs (it would clearly obstruct the strap). Although the dial could simply be straightened within the case, there was a purpose for this unconventional aesthetic as it provided a direct view when a pilot's arm was outstretched to the controls (and they often wore it on the underside of the wrist). And wh
VIDEO - The Vacheron Constantin Overseas - Part 2, The Creation of the Current Collection
Yesterday we took a close look at the history behind the modern icon that is the Overseas, today it’s time to understand everything behind the creation of the current, third-generation Vacheron Constantin Overseas. Launched in 2016, it was more an evolution than a revolution characterised by luxurious finishes, a simplified yet strong design, a sporty attitude, superbly decorated movements and several cool new features making the Overseas 3 the worthy heir of the 222. In this second instalment,?we will talk with Christian Selmoni, the brand’s heritage and style director, about the Vacheron Constantin Overseas third-generation and what makes a desirable luxury sports watch. If the second generation of the Vacheron Constantin Overseas was a bold, masculine sports watch, the third-generation models were designed to reconnect with the original models, the 222 and the Overseas 1. In a market led by the two other members of the Holy Trinity (PP and AP), Vacheron had to react and t
