This Hamilton Jazzmaster is a blend of colors. It has a brown leather strap and a shiny dark blue dial. It also has a sub-dial that has a shiny golden color, and each part of this watch stands out on its own. The overall look of this watch is very decent. Inside the IWC Manufacturing Centre and the 'MY IWC' 8-Year Warranty Program - VIDEO
If you want to get a good understanding of a watch company, visiting the manufacture is really something you should plan. This is how you truly discover how a manufacture builds its watches, defines quality, and find out what is made “in-house”. IWC was born from an industrial vision, as F.A. Jones set up his manufacture next to the river Rhine. Here, he could combine American production methods, hydro-power from the river and Swiss watchmaking skills. IWC Schaffhausen recently opened its new, and very impressive “Manufacturing Centre”. IWC has invested heavily in building a large portfolio of movements in these new production facilities. This is key for the brand to be able to innovate and to have total control over its quality. Ad - Scroll to continue with article Join us inside the
Interview: Thierry Stern, President of Patek Philippe, On The Tokyo Grand Exhibition
From 10 to 25 June 2023, Patek Philippe hosted the largest exhibition ever organized by the manufacture, the Grand Exhibition “Watch Art” Tokyo 2023. Some 60,000 visitors attended what's surely a success for the brand, which was accompanied by the launch of several limited editions, including two technical timepieces making their global debut. An important part of the communication strategy of the brand, these exhibitions allow collectors and simple watch enthusiasts to immerse themselves into the exclusive world of Patek. We're talking with Mr Thierry Stern, President of Patek Philippe, about the importance and purposes of these Grand Exhibitions. After Dubai in 2012, Munich in 2013, London in 2015, New York in 2017 and Singapore in 2019, Patek Philippe chose Tokyo for the sixth of its grand exhibitions across the world. Historically an important market for watchmaking, gathering some of the most discerning collectors around the globe, Japan was a suitable place for this 20
Ma?tres du Temps - Chapter Two - Monochrome Watches
During Baselworld i had a meeting with Ma?tres du Temps. After a warm welcome, Margaret Pane (vice president of Ma?tres du Temps) showed us the movie that was made for Chapter Two. I can really recommend watching this movie (around 10 minutes) as it really captures the essence of this collaboration of the greatest minds of modern watchmaking. The movie has some details that the connaisseur will immediately understand. Like the hands of the church clock, these remind me of the hands of the Speake-Marin Picadilly. After having seen the movie mr. Steven Holzman, the founder and CEO of Ma?tres du Temps, showed us the new masterpiece, Chapter Two. The three master watchmakers who are responsable for Chapter Two are mr. Daniel Roth, mr. Peter Speake-Marin and mr. Roger Dubuis. Chapter Two has an 18K red gold case of 42mm wide, 58mm from lug to lug and is 18mm thick. It features 6 different sapphire crystals with anti reflection coating, three positioned at the front to display the main dial,
Kering Appoints Patrick Pruniaux as CEO of Girard-Perregaux (In Addition to Ulysse Nardin)
Following Antonio Calce's departure a few weeks ago, French luxury group Kering has announced the appointment of Patrick Pruniaux as CEO of its Swiss watchmaking Maisons. Therefore, the current CEO of Ulysse Nardin will now also manage Girard-Perregaux, one of the most prestigious names of Swiss Haute Horlogerie and in turn guide the brand to meet current challenges. The reorganisation will most likely help provide greater synergies between the two Haute Horlogerie brands. Pruniaux is tasked with “accelerating the development of the two Maisons?in international markets, while at the same time maintaining their unique characteristics” as “today’s?luxury watchmaking sector is known for its accelerating product cycles, the increasingly global nature of its customers and the transformation of their expectations, both in terms of e-commerce and digital interactions“. A couple of days ago, we received the news that Tudor, a brand owned by and focused on military, diving and aquatic activities, was back in motorsport. To be more precise, the brand announced joining the brand-new Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team as an official partner. Yesterday, the Red Bull-owned team unveiled the livery of its 2024 cars and official images of its drivers, Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda. And, to our surprise, something unprecedented appeared on the wrist of Daniel Ricciardo, a watch that might become the RB F1 team watch, a blue Tudor Black Bay Ceramic.?
