The Hamilton Jazzmaster Thinline Chrono is a luxury timepiece that's housed in a 43 mm case. It uses a quartz movement, the ETA 251.274 which has a reserve of 26,280 hours. For aesthetics, there's the black dial decorated with an Arabic numerals index and smaller subdials telling the time in varaitions. Introducing The Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Patrouille de France
Parisian brand Bell & Ross?was founded?in 1992 with?a shared vision of functional and tough watches. It has a long history of military-inspired watches, but also watches issued for special forces, squadrons, astronauts, the French Naval Air Force?or elite squads such as the GIGN and the RAID. In 2021, following the release of several collections purely intended for civilian use, the brand went back to its roots, by announcing its partnership?with France's precision aerobatics demonstration unit, the world-famous Patrouille de France. In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the elite unit, Bell & Ross releases the limited edition BR 03-92 Patrouille de France. It felt rather?natural that the French Acrobatic Patrol Patrouille de France chose French brand Bell & Ross as its official watch partner, following Breitling, which was officially partnering with the Patrol since 2017 but actually made some watches with this team already since 1993.?The Patrouille de France is on
First Look: The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon x SORAI
When the Big Bang exploded on the watch scene in 2005, it was the paragon of an oversized, high-octane, octagonal sports watch flaunting an unusual fusion of materials. A decade later, the Spirit of Big Bang joined the lineup of Hublot. Embracing a similar concept, the Spirit proposed a more complex case with a tonneau-shaped, cambered profile, lateral rubber bumpers, and openworked dials. One sub-collection in the Spirit of Big Bang family is dedicated to partnerships, with models like the Sang Bleu made in collaboration with tattoo artist Maxime Plescia-Buchi. The latest partnership sees Hublot and SORAI - the rhino conservation organisation - united to raise awareness and funds to fight the threats facing rhinos today. Marking the fourth Hublot x SORAI watch, but the first Spirit of Big Bang, this edition comes in a grey ceramic case with a tourbillon regulator and is limited to 30 pieces.SORAI, which stands for Save our Rhinos Africa and India, was founded by former England cricket
First Look: The Hublot MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System Titanium
The Hublot MP series is a collection of masterpieces characterized by their disruptive and highly technical take on Haute Horlogerie. The latest chapter in this story, initiated in 2011, is the Hublot Big Bang MP-10 Weight Energy System Titanium. Visually arresting and technically complex, this limited edition timepiece is powered by a movement displaying the hours and minutes on rollers, the seconds on an inclined tourbillon cage and the power reserve on a third roller. Its automatic winding system consists of two gold masses sliding on rails on either side of the movement. Overall, a highly impressive concept watch.?Overtly technical and disruptive in their appearance, Hublot Masterpieces look nothing like a traditional Swiss wristwatch. The latest member of this club changes the classic circular layout of a watch case and its display. Like the MP-05 La Ferrari (and its 50-day power reserve movement), the Hublot MP-10 uses rollers that provide a practical, intuitive digital time indi
Your Hublot away for service? Hublot provides a loan watch! - Monochrome Watches
I guess most watch collectors already know that sending a watch for service usually ends with an impressive invoice, usually after months and months of waiting. Hublot comes with a unique new service, providing a loan watch for the duration of the service.?This is a first in the watch industry! Although most watch collectors will easily grab another wrist watch from their collection, this “Atelier watch” as Hublot calls it, can be a very useful service and it’s a great ‘gesture’ from this manufacture. This service is only available from one of the 49 Hublot boutiques?and as yet, it is not available in multi-brand outlets. Ad - Scroll to continue with article The “Atelier watch”?is a special model that is not for general sale, as “subtly” indicated on the dial. Its case, bezel and the pin buckle to close the b
Petrolhead Corner - The 1970 Lotus Type 66 That Never Was, Is Now A Reality
Like many car manufacturers built upon a passion for speed, performance and racing cars, Lotus has pretty much done it all and won it all. It raced in open-wheel categories such as the Indy500 and Formula 1 but also at Le Mans and various other prestigious championships around the world. For many years, this was driven by Colin Chapman’s forward-thinking engineering and although not every car was a success, Lotus always found a way to reinvent themselves to become championship contenders once more. Cars like the Lotus Elise and Lotus 7 paved the way for huge international successes and unique racing heritage. And on the occasion of the brand’s 75th anniversary Clive Chapman, Colin Chapman’s son, pulled back the covers of a car that actually never existed. Here’s the story of the fascinating Lotus Type 66.To say this car never existed, and now does, needs some explaining of course. For this, we take a trip down memory lane and go back to the 1960s and 1970s. This
