The Hamilton Khaki Pilot Pioneer H76416135 is an improvised and upgraded version inspired by Hamilton's traditional military watches. The model has a highly sophisticated design, with a simple black chronograph dial that also has a somewhat sporty touch to it. The dial has 2 sub dials inside, and silver-tone losange hands and hour markers that increase the readability and visibility of the dial. The modern-style black dial is beautifully complemented by an elegant silver satin and polished finish bracelet.

Hands-on - The deliciously retro Nezumi Voiture VM1S.101
Today we are bringing your attention to a new brand for MONOCHROME Watches, a brand that has been around for over a decade but hasn’t solely focused on watches since it was founded. Late last year, we were contacted by Nezumi Studios, a Swedish watchmaking company that was celebrating its tenth anniversary. Named the Voiture, this sharp-looking retro chronograph is the first model in Nezumi’s portfolio to use a Swiss mechanical movement. While not entirely new as a design, it was previously powered by a Seiko mecha-quartz movement. Now that it has moved a step up the ladder, it was the perfect opportunity to go hands-on with one of Nezumi’s watches, in this case, the Voiture VM1S.101.The name Nezumi comes from the Japanese folk hero Nezumi Kozo. Stealing from wealthy Samurai to give to the poor, similar to Robin Hood, Nezumi Kozo met a gruesome death when he was arrested for his crimes. Nevertheless, upon learning what he did with his stolen fortunes, his story became
Baltic Aquascaphe Diver / Value Proposition Review (Specs & Price)
After successfully funding its first collection via Kickstarter, Baltic Watches has managed to stand the test of time and to survive this inaugural series of watches. Even better, the small concept became a brand and has started to expand its collection – and there are many more watches to come (but we can’t tell you yet…) Today, we look at what Etienne Malec has created as his second model, a great-looking, still accessible, no-nonsense tool dive watch with vintage inspiration; the Baltic Aquascaphe Diver.ConceptBaltic Watches is the brainchild of Etienne Malec, a young Frenchman who has inherited his father's passion for watches – something he shared with us already, some years ago. An avid collector, his father spent years putting together a collection of exceptional timepieces, some of which have inspired the designs of Baltic's first two models. Sadly though, Etienne's father passed away when Etienne was still quite young and so they were never able to trul
Seiko 5 Military SNK809 / Review, Live Pics, Specs & Price
A few years ago, we published a story named “The Cheapest High-End Watch“. We searched for the?most affordable high-end watch, comprising a mechanical movement, in-house manufactured of course, from a brand with an undisputed pedigree, preferably family-owned, and the watch should be (relatively) small and elegant. And guess who won the title… not Patek, not Vacheron, not even or Omega. It was a Seiko 5!?While pretty much everyone thinks of Switzerland when we talk about high-end watches, we felt that one specific brand was often missing in the discussion… Today that’s changing already and certainly since Grand Seiko has been positioned as a separate brand, this Japanese giant is being taken very seriously. Japanese movements?are gaining traction in general, and despite being cheap (the word affordable doesn’t even work anymore), Seiko 5 watches are true mechanical, bang-for-the-buck “high-end” pieces. Time to demonstrate this, with the
Fratello x Czapek Antarctique Passage de Drake Viridian Green
Collaboration models between magazines/media and watch manufacturers have become a classic and, more often than not, it can result in pretty cool timepieces with a unique flair. We’ve been there too recently, with our first Montre de Souscription. Our friends and neighbours at Fratello (we’re both based in the Netherlands and both teams know each other for years) have tried this before, twice actually. Their latest offence was a bold and colourful take on the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date. Today, the Dutch medium ups its game and presents its third collaboration watch, and it’s not only much more exclusive but also comes from one of our preferred independent watchmakers. Here’s the Fratello x Czapek Antarctique Passage de Drake Viridian Green, and it’ll be available as of tomorrow – July 8th, 6 AM Europe time.?Until now, Fratello has been focussing its two previous collaboration models on relatively accessible watches, being respectively made by Freder
Baselworld 2018 - Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Steel 36mm / 40mm (specs & price)
While we’ve already introduced the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date in bronze with a 36mm case, there are other novelties regarding the Pointer Date that Oris is introducing at Baselworld 2018. Alongside the bronze edition, Oris will also release some steel versions of the Pointer Date watch, this time in?40mm and 36mm cases, as well as with steel bracelets or leather straps – and again with an unbeatable quality/price ratio. Overview. While the bronze version of the?Oris Big Crown Pointer Date will certainly be one of the main talking pieces for the brand at Baselworld 2018, there are also some more rational steel versions. This watch is based on a limited edition launched mid-2017 – the?Oris Big Crown Pointer Date D.26 286 HB-RAG – which reintroduced one of Oris’ most famous designs, the 1984 Pointer Date watch, which in turn was based on a 1938 design. No more limitations now, the Pointer Date is back in the collection with various options. Below, some of the
