Hamilton's classic is a treat for sore eyes. The combination of Khaki and white brings out the true aesthetic of a wristwatch. The white dial houses two basic rows; the inner row has a series of Arabic numeral markers, and the outer row has minute markers. The dial houses one small dial within at 6 o' clock; and a small aperture at 3 o' clock for keeping track of time.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver White Gold 15720CN Review
Born in 1993, the Royal Oak Offshore collection was at the time of launch probably one of the most impactful models the watchmaking world had ever seen. Bold and provocative, it quickly became a reference point for all other future ultra-sporty luxurious watches. Following the chronograph models, Audemars Piguet created in 2005 another important watch, the Royal Oak Offshore Diver?(first entitled Royal Oak Offshore Scuba). Offered in vibrant colours and cool combinations of materials, the Diver has undergone a deep update earlier this year, with a new collection that we discovered here. And it’s time now for the upgraded?Royal Oak Offshore Diver to get its first limited edition, which is all about luxury and contrast.?If the name Royal Oak Offshore Diver appeared in 2010, this specific sub-collection was initiated in 2005, with the launch of the Offshore Scuba. Walking in the footsteps of its chronograph sibling, a watch born in 1993 and nicknamed “The Beast”, AP deci
In-Depth - The Vacheron Constantin 1955 Cornes de Vache, And Milestone Vintage Chronographs From The Museum
Based on the vintage reference 6087, a watch launched in 1955, the modern so-called Cornes de Vache is, without doubt, one of the most sought-after Vacheron Constantin Chronographs. Available only in platinum or pink gold until very recently, a new steel version has recently been introduced but given the limited production and great demand, it is very difficult to find. On the occasion of a visit to the Manufacture, we have taken a look at some milestone watches from the Vacheron Constantin museum collections to better understand the genesis of this superb chronograph.POCKET CHRONOGRAPHSAs you would expect from the oldest watchmaker that has been in production without interruption, Vacheron Constantin has a rich history in chronographs (and in watches in general). The company produced dead-beat seconds pocket watches, often regarded as the ancestor of the chronograph, as early as 1819 – with an independent dead-beat seconds powered by a dedicated gear train.?Vacheron Constantin
Introducing the new MONOCHROME Hand-Made Rally Straps - Monochrome Watches
End of last year we introduced the new Monochrome Web-Shop and our hand-made premium leather watch rolls. We’re very proud that our customers were very impressed by the impeccable quality. Since we write about the most beautiful and exclusive timepieces of our planet, we feel that our products should be on par with that. So we searched long, to find a very good strapmaker, who makes the very best straps for your vintage timepieces.Several years ago I already asked myself if changing straps is just a hobby for Paneristi? I do realize that it probably started with Panerai watches, however personally I love to switch straps on my other watches as well. The straps are hand-made in Cyprus, and are crafted of the finest leathers. These ‘rally’ straps are punctured with holes, in a typical 1960’s/1970’s racing style and look absolutely great on your vintage Speedmaster, Camaro, Carrera, Autavia, Monaco, Top Timer, or any other vintage/modern chronograph.
Christian Selmoni on Vacheron Constantin Les Cabinotiers, on keeping very Complicated Watches wearable and the Overseas - Monochrome Watches
Christian Selmoni is the Style and Heritage Director at Vacheron Constantin. He joined the brand thirty years ago, in 1990, and gradually climbed the ladder to his current position. He is also the man behind the design and development of the company's famous 250th-anniversary collections. Overall one of the most likeable persons in the watch industry, a perfect gentleman, always dressed to impress and when he starts talking about ‘his’ brand you can see and feel his enthusiasm. Through zoom, we talked about a range of topics including bespoke and one-off VC timepieces, some of the brand's most complicated pieces (and most complicated watches in the world), and the strategies of making a watch wearable when it’s packed with two dozen complications and watch faces on both sides.Christian Selmoni knows the Geneva-based brand like nobody else and the task of enriching and developing VC's heritage has his name written all over. He’s also responsible for extracting de
Vacheron Constantin FIFTYSIX Self-Winding and Complete Calendar with Blue Dials (Hands-On) - Monochrome Watches
This year, Vacheron Constantin will introduce striking blue dials to its popular FIFTYSIX collection. While it may be an obvious iteration for the brand, it is certainly not an unwelcome one, adding another element to Vacheron's entry-level offering. Today, we're taking a quick look at the new FIFTYSIX Self-Winding and FIFTYSIX Complete Calendar dressed in blue.By way of a quick refresher, Vacheron introduced the FIFTYSIX collection last year at SIHH 2018. Intended very much as an entry-level range designed to attract younger buyers to the brand, it was initially met with mixed reviews. Some - including us here at MONOCHROME - found the idea of an affordable' (relatively speaking, of course) watch a bit at odds with the brand's prestigious reputation for Haute Horlogerie.
