A. Lange & Sohne Little Lange 1 Edition 25th Anniversary - Monochrome Watches
At the start of the year, A. Lange & Sohne announced that 2019 would be dedicated to celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Lange 1. A total of 10 anniversary models are due to be unveiled this year, celebrating the key milestones of the Lange 1 watch family. So far, we have seen been treated to the Lange 1 25th Anniversary and Lange 1 Moon Phase 25th Anniversary models. Now we are getting our first look at the Little Lange 1 25th Anniversary.A watch that needs no introduction, the Lange 1 was one of the four cornerstone models of the brand's rebirth in 1994. Over the years it has evolved to become a stand-alone collection in its own right. Four years later, the Little Lange 1 joined the line-up as a permanent member. Identical in almost every way to the original, the Little Lange 1 offers a case that is 1.7mm smaller, a great option for those with smaller (or more slender) wrists. Longines Legend Diver with date - Monochrome Watches
Re-issues seem to be popular the last few years. Especially the revival of the super compressor dive watches is quite remarkable. In my ‘chronicle‘ on Worldtempus.com i write about the popularity of the re-issues the last few years. Although TAG Heuer already started with re-issues in the late nineties, most other brands are catching up the last few years. Among others Omega, Jaeger LeCoultre and IWC presented some lovely re-issues. In my opinion Longines came with the most striking of them all…. the Legend Diver.Longines Legend DiverSuper compressors are dive watches pur sang. Together with other dive watches with external dive bezel, like the Submariner and Sea-Dweller and the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, they are the most important representatives of vintage dive watches. Since the very first time i saw a vintage super compressor, quite some years ago already, i liked them. So you can imagine i was very exited when Longines presented the Legend Diver at Baselworld 20

The Big Bang MP-11’s impressive 14-day power reserve, derived from seven series-coupled and horizontally arranged barrels, has been a staple at Hublot since 2018. Using a sapphire crystal case to house the HUB9011 movement isn’t entirely novel (one of the inaugural models featured this). Still, it’s hard to overlook the allure of the latest iteration of the watch. This time, the Big Bang MP-11 emerges in a “radiant and translucent glacier blue” sapphire case. The new Water Blue sapphire is formulated with a fresh chemical composition and boasts all the essential properties of sapphire. Introducing IWC Portofino Chronograph 39 Laureus IW391408 (Price)
For many fans of IWC Schaffhausen, size – big size – is an important issue, so it’s not surprising that the XXL 46mm Big Pilot is considered one of the brand’s flagship models. Realising that not everybody can pull off a 46mm wristwatch, IWC decided to offer the Big Pilot in a smaller 43mm case size last year. In a similar move, IWC revisited its vintage-inspired Portofino Chronograph in 2021, offering a new 39mm diameter. One of IWC’s dressier collections, the Portofino is named after the picturesque Italian fishing village on the Amalfi coast frequented by jet-setters. Following its debut in 1984, it was revamped with much fanfare in 2014 and today offers a selection of elegant, classically styled watches. The IWC Portofino chronograph, initially available in a 42mm case size, was revisited last year in a smaller 39mm diameter. As a partner of the Laureus Sport for Good charity and coinciding with the 2022 Laureus World Sports Awards held in Seville, Spa
