Hands-on with the 2015 collection of the A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia (live photos, specs & price) - Monochrome-Watches
Recently, we’ve seen the evolution of the Lange 1, a watch so iconic that A. Lange & Sohne decided to update only its movement and not to touch its visual aspects (well, except?2 very little details that we’re not even going to mention now). With the Saxonia, the entry-level-understated-classical-dress-but-oh-so-nice collection of the manufacture, we’re in front of the total opposite situation: Lange keeps the mechanics (we’re not going to complain) and updates the design. But don’t wait for a revolution, we’re at Lange and brutality is not an option. Hands-on with?2015 collection of the A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia.Throwback – the pre-2015 collection of the?Lange & Sohne SaxoniaPre-2015 A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia (here the Automatic edition)Before going deeper into the new 2015 collection of the A.?Lange & Sohne Saxonia, we have to remember what its previous editions were?about. A. Lange & Sohne at Concours of Elegance, An Interview with CEO Wilhelm Schmid And Tons of Car/Watch Photos - Monochrome Watches
Had you been walking past Hampton Court this weekend, no doubt you would you have heard the roar from the dozens of fine vintage specimens manoeuvring around the palace for the Concours of Elegance. This year was the first time A. Lange & Sohne had supported the event – though, you would be forgiven for confusing this Concourse of Elegance classic car event with the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este at?Lake Como. Both events are supported by Lange, but this show held at Hampton Court Palace is, in fact, no relation to the one on Lake Como. Still, we were there, we enjoyed the scenery (cars and watches are always a winning combo - especially Lange x Classic Cars) and we talked with CEO Wilhelm Schmid. The home of the 2018 Concours of Elegance, Hampton Court.Running from the 31 August to 2 September, the Concours of Elegance began at Windsor Castle in 2012, before moving to St James' Palace in 2013. Introducing the Drive de Cartier, a new men's shaped watch (hands-on review, live photos, price) - Monochrome Watches
If there was only one thing to embody?about Cartier Watches it?could easily be?how the brand?masters shapes. Round, Square, oval, rectangular, deconstructed… There are many variations at Cartier and most of them are full of elegance, somehow eccentric but never overdone. The Old Maison is good at it, as we’ve seen recently with the Cle de Cartier of the Crash Skeleton.?For the SIHH 2016, a new variation, more masculine, slightly vintage-oriented has been introduced and then again, it doesn't disappoint the senses.
