MING 18.01 H41 Titanium Dive Watch, And Some Thoughts
Following last year's 18.01 Abyss Concept, a limited run of 10 prototype dive watches, Malaysian-based MING is back with its first production diver that improves on the concept. Steel gives way to titanium, there are a couple of case finishing options and it's even thinner than before, but MING's signature styling remains intact. If you're not familiar with the brand, it's already won in the Horological Revelation category of the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve in only three years of existence, so it's certainly one to watch. The new MING 18.01 H41 expands on the brand's smaller, dressier watch portfolio with a unique, very capable diver. The concept model, the MING 18.01 Abyss, on which the production model presented here is based. The MING 18.01 H41MING recently updated its design language with the aptly named Design Language 2, first used on the 27.01 Ultra Thin dress watch with a more minimalistic approach. Introducing: The White Dial Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional
You've probably already seen that watch But up until today, it was not officially there. For decades, besides special and limited editions, the Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch in stainless steel has primarily flaunted a black dial watch. Yet, at an event hosted by Omega in November last year, Daniel Craig, whom we are more accustomed to seeing wearing a Seamaster when portraying James Bond, was spotted wearing something special An unprecedented version of the classic Moonwatch with a light-coloured dial. And here it is confirmed, with the introduction as part of the permanent collection of a lacquered white dial Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional.? A full-white dial Speedmaster Moonwatch isn't something that common. Look closely, and you won't find anything of the sort, at least in the standard collection. MIH Ga?a Watch - Monochrome Watches
The abbreviation MIH probably doesn’t mean much to most of our readers, except to our hardcore watch enthusiasts (or WIS, which stands for Watch Idiot Savant – another horological abbreviation) who will immediately recognize the acronym. MIH stands for Musee International d’Horlogerie and during the time that Mr Ludwig Oechslin was the curator of the museum, he introduced the MIH Watch. It was sort of a love child of Ludwig Oechslin, Paul Gerber and Christian Gafner. The latter designed the watch, while Oechslin created the annual calendar on top of a Valjoux 7750 chronograph and independent watchmaker Gerber rearranged the chronograph’s actuators and levers for it to become a monopusher chronograph. While that firs
