Hands-On: Impressions about the Omega Speedmaster Pilot Flight Qualified
About a month ago, out of the blue, Omega released a new, rather polarizing and unique-looking version of its emblematic chronograph, the Speedmaster Pilot Flight Qualified.?Well, it wasn’t really out of the blue, but we’ll come back on that in a few. Colourful, tool-oriented and with a dial full of references to the world of aviation, it is a watch with a completely different style from what we’ve come to expect from the streamlined Moonwatch – it’s also very different technically. Habring2 Chrono Felix Perpetual Salmon (Specs & Price)
Suppose you’re one of our loyal readers. In that case, you certainly know that we have a thing for salmon dial watches, chronographs in general – monopushers to be even more precise – classic designs of the 1940s and we have huge respect for the work of Austrian independent watchmakers Maria and Richard Habring (also known as Habring2). All of that led us to the creation of our first Montre de Souscription, a salmon sector dial monopusher by Habring2. Harry Winston Histoire de Tourbillon 10 (Hands-on, Specs & Price)
The “Histoire de Tourbillon” saga by Harry Winston is coming to an end. This series of watches was the home for some of the most extravagant pieces created by the brand, together with the Opus series. Having previously used tourbillons with single, double or triple axes, combined (or not) with single or double tourbillons or a carousel, Harry Winston’s latest creation is the last page of an impressive book. But like all good stories, the end is mind-blowing. Meet the Harry Winston Histoire de Tourbillon 10, the first watch ever equipped with four tourbillons in a single movement. Background: Multiple Regulator WatchesRecently, our technical editor Xavier wrote the perfect story to start this article: “A Technical Perspective – Understanding the Concept of Multiple-Regulator Watches“.
