Tutima Grand Flieger Classic Chronograph (Specs & Price)
Emphasising key traits of Tutima's historic pilot chronograph of 1941, the 43mm Grand Flieger Classic Chronograph is a solidly built, top quality companion for life's everyday missions.?The first flyback chronograph to be produced in Glashutte, Germany for the Luftwaffe, the distinctive credentials of the original Tutima Flieger Chronograph – like the coin-edged rotating bezel, the unique red reference marker on the bezel, the black dial and luminous cathedral-style hands – are faithfully recreated for those who enjoy the aesthetics of WWII pilot’s chronographs but appreciate modern engines.?Our fascination with pilot watchesApart from all its horrendous consequences, war has always been a catalyst for technological advancement. Objects that populate our civilian lives, things like microwaves, Nescafe, duct tape, disposable razors and the groundwork for the internet, were all conceived during times of war. Although wristwatches had made their debut on women's wrists,
Hands-On: The All-New Patek Philippe Cubitus Collection
It isn’t every day that Patek Philippe introduces an entirely new collection, especially a new range of elegant sports watches. But here it is, and it is called the Patek Philippe Cubitus. Three years after discontinuing the celebrated stainless steel blue Nautilus 5711?– or two years, if we include the farewell Olive Green and Tiffany editions – collectors around the globe eagerly awaited a replacement for the steel 5711A.? What they probably didn’t expect was that the Genevan family-owned brand would introduce an entire collection: the Cubitus range comprising the steel 5821A, the steel-and-gold 5821AR and the more complex Instantaneous Grand Date platinum 5822P. While the rumours on Instagram were already buzzing, including many opinions, we felt it’s best to go hands-on with the much anticipated Patek Philippe Cubitus Collection. For reference, as a reminder, the steel Nautilus 5711 olive greenBefore we dive into the details of this new Patek Philippe C

Singer Reimagined Track 1 Geneva Edition (Specs & Price)
When you think about it, there aren’t many differences between one racing chronograph and the next. Of course, designs can be different but the basics are there: 2 pushers, 3 registers, a fixed bezel with tachymeter scale, black or silver dials with coloured accents! All of these features feel so familiar that it quickly became the norm… but not for everyone! Some thought that a racing chronograph could be reinvented, reimagined and reshaped to offer something new, different and, in the end, highly desirable. This has a name: the Singer Reimagined Track 1, and today we take a closer look at the Geneva Edition and its superb pale yellow gold case.Reinventing the racing chronograph… 60 years of non-evolutionGetting rid of the basics of a concept so emblematic as the racing chronograph isn’t easy (at all). This specific category of watches has clear rules and is defined by two of the most iconic watches ever created: the Daytona and the Omega Speedmaster (and the
