The IW Portugieser Chrono-Rattrapante Boutique Paris is a high-class watch soaked in history. It finds a home in the limited watches category; and it comes in a 40.9 mm case that houses a black dial. The dial has an Arabic numeral index which offers great readability with the help of the super thin bezels. In all, the watch is one of IW's vintage watch that you give the next generation.

The Collector's Series - Charles and his fascinating Gronefeld Parallax Tourbillon... In Titanium - Monochrome-Watches
Earlier this week I had the pleasure of sitting down with?distinguished?collector and?contributor to the Deployant Blog,?Charles Sutanto.?As an engineer, Charles tells me it was really a?fascination?with mechanics that drew him to watches. ?His horological journey started approximately 15 years ago with the purchase of Jaeger LeCoultre Master?Memovox. In his early days of collecting he?found himself appreciating?creations?from the likes?of both?Audemars Piguet and Panerai. It is fair to say that as time went on, during?2007 and the Tempus, Charles went through somewhat of a transition in his collecting focus. This was the period in which he was introduced to the world of independents and haute haute horology. Voutilainen, De Bethune and other independents became the core of Charles' focus. With this in mind, I?thoroughly?enjoyed discussing a watch you rarely see in the wild…a Gronefeld Parallax Tourbillon (in titanium). When did you first get into watches?I guess what ignite my in
The Return of the Oris Rectangular for the 2021 Collection
Perhaps not the best-known collection at Oris, the Rectangular is back with new proportions, colourful dials and straps. A classic dress watch with smooth Art Deco lines, the latest case size of the Oris Rectangular is designed to appeal to men and women alike. If you go to the Oris website and browse the Rectangular collection, you will see four models pop up, the four new models we are covering in this article. However, if you do a generic search for the Oris Rectangular model, some links will take you back to an older Oris website displaying a host of Rectangular models ranging from date, chronograph, GMT and even women's models. The point being that the Rectangular family is not new, although it is hard to establish the exact year of its debut. Be that as it may, the Rectangular is a stylish dress watch with some of the seriousness of classic rectangular watches (JLC Reverso, Cartier Tank) mitigated by its colourful dials and straps. Recap: The Best Accessible Watches Of 2023
Watches cost money; it’s as simple as that. And it’s also a given that luxury watches cost luxury money. But the assumption that you need to spend a fortune to wear something cool and stylish is wrong, luckily. While most of us might dream of tourbillons, split-second chronographs, minute repeaters or perpetual calendars, not many of us have the budget to spend tens of thousands or more on such watches. But if you look well enough in the entry-level segment of the market, there are plenty of very cool and very stylish watches. And with that in mind, we’ve voted on what we think are the Best Accessible Watches of 2023!The market for mechanical watches below the EUR 1,000 mark (give or take) has become crowded as new brands or projects are popping up like mushrooms on platforms like Kickstarter. And while most of these come and go just as fast, occasionally, there’s one that makes a lasting enough impression to become a household brand. But even within the widespr
Cvstos... interesting discussion - Monochrome Watches
After being offline for a few weeks, i am finally ready to post again. I moved to another?house and although i still don’t have an internet connection i can sometimes use a friends connection to read some forums and now post. One of the few discussions i read and enjoyed reading a lot, is the discussion about Cvstos. Cvstos is in my opinion a brand that has ‘borrowed’a lot of their inspiration from another brand, Richard Mille. While Richard Mille makes extarordinairy pieces and created a unique look for his watches, cases and movements, this relatively new comer has more or less the same look. Just have a look at these photos of Cvstos and the beautiful Richard Mille RM12… Ad - Scroll to continue with article Besides the similarities in design of the case and movement (i am not assuming their are technically of the same level!!!), they al
Introducing Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Chronograph 0 Oxygen LE290
Montblanc has eyes set on Mount Everest with its latest 1858 Geosphere Chronograph 0 Oxygen LE290. The case is literally void of oxygen to prevent fogging and oxidation in sub-zero temperatures and extreme altitudes. The brand isn't just claiming this but enlisting mountaineer Nimsdai Purja to wear this new chronograph version of the Geosphere watch to the peak of Everest in May 2022. Recommended by legendary alpinist Reinhold Messner, Nimsdai will make the ascent for Montblanc without supplemental oxygen, and he'll depend on the new chronograph to perform without issue.?Nimsdai was awarded the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the United Kingdom for outstanding achievement in extreme high-altitude mountaineering. He also has an elite military background, so he's certainly up for the task. The chronograph should be equally capable with a sizeable titanium case at 44mm in diameter and 17.1mm in height. Although large, the brushed/polished titanium build will keep it lig
