With no fewer than four world record for thinness under its belt, we thought that Bvlgari was going to settle down and enjoy its recognition as the ultimate master of ultra-thin… But we were wrong! For Baselworld 2019, Bvlgari sets yet another world record – the fifth to be precise. Please welcome the Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Chronograph, with a 6.90mm case and a movement of just 3.30mm, making it the thinnest chronograph in the world – and yes, it is automatic and it features a GMT Complication… No less!?Thinness, Bvlgari and ChronographBefore moving to the topic of the day, meaning the record for the world’s thinnest chronograph and this new Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Chronograph, a quick reminder of what Bvlgari has done in the field of ultra-thin watchmaking might be useful.Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Trilogy: tourbi

Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Master Chronometer - Video Review
The Seamaster is one of Omega's oldest collections. It was born in 1948 and modelled after watches that Omega delivered to the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. Over the years, the collection expanded drastically, ranging from elegant timepieces to ultra-robust instruments. 1993 marked another milestone in the evolution of the Seamaster when Omega introduced the Seamaster Professional 300M, a watch that would become an emblem of the brand when it was worn by a secret agent to become the official 007 watch. Today, as part of our in-depth video reviews, we’ll take a closer look at the blue Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Master Chronometer, the latest generation of this all-time classic, one of the definitive dive watches and the perfect modern “Bond Watch”.The destiny of the SMP 300M would change forever after it was worn by Pierce Brosnan in the 1995 film Goldeneye – even though 007 was wearing a quartz model back then. From this moment on, the Seamaster D
RGM Model 600-B Chronograph Blue Dial (Specs & Price)
American watchmaker RGM introduced its Model 600 Chronograph last year with inspiration from military pilot watches from the 1960s and 1970s. It had a straightforward design with a black dial, bi-compax layout and no date and joined the rising trend of military-inspired chronographs like the Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic Chronograph and Longines Avigation BigEye. Blue dials are really trending as well and Longines recently introduced the Avigation BigEye Titanium with a gradient blue dial, trading a bit of authenticity for style. The indie watchmaker is following suit with the RGM Model 600-B and a striking sunray blue dial.?The chronograph is part of RGM's broader pilot collection that house ETA movements in lieu of in-house calibres. This allows for more accessible pieces that still showcase the brand's quality and design prowess. The case is stainless steel with a brushed finish (polished bezel) and contemporary size – 42mm in diameter and 14mm in height with crystal. That cr
Industry SIHH And Baselworld To Coordinate Their Dates From 2020
The rumour had been around for some time now, many were hoping for this to happen, and now it’s official. Baselworld and SIHH will coordinate their dates as of 2020. The two major trade shows of the watch industry will synchronize their calendars. The SIHH will be held from 26 to 29 April in Geneva, followed immediately by Baselworld from 30 April to 5 May in Basel. Better yet, the calendars have been synchronized until 2024.This sound decision – in view of the challenges that these events are facing – is announced just a few days ahead of SIHH 2019 that will soon be throwing its doors open with some 35 brands gearing up to unveil their latest models. In some ways, this means going back to normal'. For years, the Geneva and Basel fairs had been held one after the other in March-April until SIHH announced it would be organized in January. The news means that the watch industry professionals will no longer need to travel twice to Switzerland in a short period of time.Fa
