Longines Flagship Automatic 38.5 mm is a simple yet impressive watch with a round dial. The white dial has silver hour markers and a date window at 3 o'clock. The transparent case back shows the mechanism of the watch's working quite clearly. In addition, it has a nice crocodile leather band that has just the right textured appearance. Its sapphire crystal is resistant to scratches and most other forms of physical damage.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Grande Complication Titanium - Monochrome Watches
When Audemars Piguet showed me the new Royal Oak automatic (ref. 15202) during the SIHH in January of this year, it was love at first sight. It doesn’t happen often that in the first paragraph I write “I WANT ONE”, however I did and I meant it. The result has been on my wrist since February of this year when I bought the 15202’s predecessor, a Royal Oak ref. 5402.?The Royal Oak Jumbo, as it’s kindly nicknamed by collectors, is the purest form of the Royal Oak. I think that pure and strong design makes it more difficult to successfully integrate other complications in this design or to change it. Still Audemars Piguet successfully re-created the a bigger and bolder version, named Royal Oak Offshore. Today Audemars Piguet presents a successful merger between the bad ass Royal Oak Offshore and the most impressive of all complications, the Grande Complication. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
Hands-on with the Richard Mille RM 67-01 Automatic Extra Flat (Live photos, specs & price) - Monochrome Watches
Watches made by Richard Mille are usually bold, extremely technical, rather large and not really?discreet. Nothing wrong in that… That’s also part of the pleasure. Except a few watches, like the RM 033 we reviewed a few weeks ago, we can’t really add the word elegant and dress next to Richard Mille watches. And this is especially the case?when it comes to tonneau-shaped watches, a style that made the brand so easily recognizable. For the SIHH 2016, the brand decided to change that, with the ?Richard Mille RM 67-01 Automatic, their first Extra-Flat and elegant watch with the iconic RM shape. Will it meet?our expectations? Let’s find out. When we first talked?about the?Richard Mille RM 67-01, in our pre-SIHH 2016 article, we?were?rather impressed and pleased. Then again, we have nothing against the sporty and large watches of the brand, like the RM11-01 Chronograph or the?RM 61-01 Yohan Blake Limited Edition, mainly because, their size apart, these watches (and the
Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date Limited Edition Gradient Blue - Introducing, Specs & Price
Back at the SIHH 2018, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced a brand new collection with a combination of vintage and sporty inspiration – something that was clearly missing in the range. Based on the famed “Polaris Memovox” from 1968, the brand developed an entire line-up comprising a chrono, a WT-chrono, a time-only, a Worldtime and of course, an alarm “Memovox” version. Last but not least (and a personal favourite), was the vintage-inspired time-and-date diver, which is the base for today’s novelty, with new “Blue Double Gradient” dial. Meet the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date Limited Edition.InspirationThere’s no hiding the fact that the new Polaris collection hasn’t come out of the blue. It was modelled on one of the most iconic sports watches ever created by JLC, the famed, highly collectable and handsome Polaris Memovox – and looking at this watch, you understand that Jeager-LeCoultre was right in taking this piece as an insp
New - Montblanc 1858 Minerva Monopusher Chronograph Red Arrow LE88
While most of the watches produced by Montblanc fall into the accessible luxury category, there’s one line that talks explicitly to us here, at MONOCHROME, and these are the Minerva-branded models. Often powered by historical hand-wound chronograph movements finished to high-end standards, they combine fine watchmaking with a desirable vintage 1920s and 1930s look – a combination that we’ve seen in this watch, for example. The latest model to surface from the depths of the Minerva manufacture is a tribute to the Red Arrow watch, a monopusher Montblanc 1858 Minerva with stunning looks.According to Montblanc, the Villeret-based Minerva manufacture was one of the first watchmakers to make a fluted bezel and an internal countdown rotating bezel back in 1927. This was followed in 1939 by the brand’s first wrist chronograph with an external rotating bezel and a reset function. Both models, now part of Montblanc’s historical collection, have inspired the present
Weekly Watch Photo - Panerai PAM300 Mare Nostrum - Monochrome Watches
Maybe it’s because I just bought a Panerai or maybe it’s because I recently visited the Montblanc Manufacture in Villeret. This Weekly Watch Photo shows the Panerai PAM300 Mare Nostrum featuring a re-worked Minerva movement, originally produced in the Manufacture in Villeret.Martin Wilmsen made the?Weekly Watch Photo, which shows Panerai caliber OP XXV. This is the movement?of the immense Panerai PAM300 Mare Nostrum, that measures 52 mm in diameter. Earlier we wrote an extensive report on the different Mare Nostrum models.? Ad - Scroll to continue with article Panerai OP XXV is a hand-wound mechanical movement, measuring 12? lignes (or 28? mm). The base movement is developed and produced by Minerva, now-a-days owned by Montblanc,?and is a vintage caliber 13-20. It has 22 jewels,?a monometallic Glucydur balance that?vibrates with?18,000 v/h.
