Luxury Watches |
Here is another excellent watch by Longines. The brand never fails to amaze us with their superior quality and stunning designs. In a world of gimmicks and frauds, Longines provides one with truly luxurious looking watches which are not only great to look at but are highly functional and accurate as well. This one is a part of their La Grande Classique De Longines collection. This model features a graceful white dial with painted Roman numerals and Black hands. Furthermore, the case is made of stainless steel with red PVD coating and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. It has a 36 mm diameter.

Recap: The MONOCHROME Team's Favorites of Watches and Wonders 2025
Watches and Wonders 2025 is about to close its doors and it’s time for Team MONOCHROME to fly back home after one of the most intense weeks of the year. We’ve seen hundreds of watches, if not thousands, published way over a hundred articles, took several thousands of photos and published over a dozen videos on YouTube. But it is time now to settle a bit and simply discussed what were the watches that gave us the best impression, the watches we, on a personal level, liked the most. The brief to Frank, Xavier, Robin and Brice, the core members of the team was simple: no constraints, just select the three watches that you’d want on your wrist.?Note: this selection is based on our own preferences. We will come back with more of these selections in the coming days, covering specific topics – technical, design, affordable… So stay tuned.Brice – Patek Philippe Calatrava 6196PWhy…? Because it is the essence of the dress watch by Patek, a watch thatR
The Re-Birth of Ollech & Wajs (OW) with Accessible Tool Watches (History, Specs & Price)
Some names might not ring a bell with a broader audience, but can still be well-known and highly respected in some collectors’ communities. Ollech & Wajs, a Swiss brand born in 1956 and specialized in tool watches, is a case in point. It took more than 10 years to convince Albert Wajs to pass on his brand… but Ollech & Wajs (OW) is back on track with a new, cool collection of accessible tool watches (in short, the brand’s speciality for decades).Ollech & Wajs – short historyIn 1956, Albert Wajs and his friend Joseph Ollech formed a partnership and opened a watch shop in Zurich. At first they distributed timepieces from Breitling and Omega but eventually decided to establish their own brand: OWZ, for Ollech & Wajs Zurich.Joseph Ollech handled the commercial side of the brand while Albert Wajs was more on the technical side of things in this venture – although he was not a trained watchmaker. The TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 01 Aston Martin - Monochrome Watches
Last week, at the Geneva International Motor Show (where TAG also announced the Monaco Gulf Special Edition), Jean-Claude Biver (CEO of TAG Heuer and President of the LVMH Group Watches Division) and Andy Palmer (President and CEO of Aston Martin) announced that TAG Heuer has been chosen as Official Partner, Official Watch Partner and Official Connected Watch Partner of Aston Martin and Aston Martin Racing. That’s a mouthful… so let’s have a look at what interests us most:?the new TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 01 Aston Martin.Back in the 1960’s and 1970’s Heuer, and later TAG Heuer, sponsored Ferrari and a host of individual drivers and they?were first to do so. In fact, it almost looks like Jack Heuer invented sponsoring racing, race drivers and even an Italian sports car brand. Nowadays?the collaborations and partnerships between a watch brand and a car brand, or even the entire F1 organization ( teamed up with them),?seems to be a proven concept. IWC collabo
Take my breath away! IWC booth at SIHH 2012 - Monochrome Watches
It’s probably no surprise that the brands exposing at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, or short SIHH, are competitors. What is maybe not as well-known is that during this show the biggest competition is not about watches. It’s about the booth! In 1986, a movie turned a famous actor into a worldwide super star. Tom Cruise was playing the role of a young and talented fighter pilot joining the elite Navy fighter Weapon School based in Miramar, north of San Diego, in California. This school is world famous under its nickname: Top Gun! Ad - Scroll to continue with article If you ever get the chance to pilot a jet aircraft, this is great, no it’s spectacular. If you can fly an american high-tech jet aircraft, this is absolutely awesome. Now imagine the very few pilots who get to fly the latest and greatest aircrafts, take off from an a
Introducing: The TAG Heuer Carrera Date Plasma d'Avant-Garde
Lab-grown diamonds are used extensively in jewellery but rarely in watchmaking. What takes nature billions of years to achieve and immense effort to mine can be pulled off in a laboratory in a matter of weeks. Embracing the technology and leading the pack, TAG Heuer is the first major Swiss brand to integrate lab-grown diamonds into its watches. With the launch of its third Plasma watch during LVMH Watch Week, TAG Heuer consolidates its pole position on the lab-grown diamond scene. Here’s a first peek at the new Carrera Date Plasma Diamant d’Avant Garde, flaunting a burst of golden sunshine in the form of a yellow diamond.Although you can come across a sprinkling of diamonds on its women’s watches, diamonds are not the first thing that spring to mind when you think about TAG Heuer. As a brand that likes to experiment with avant-garde materials, lab-grown diamonds are an exciting proposal; not only are they infinitely cheaper to produce, but they are identical to natur
