Even though it would be impossible to hide all the buzz, the discussions and the emotions that surrounded the launch of this watch – certainly the most commented watch ever – it won’t be the topic today. We could argue with its detractors… We could, but we won’t. Today we are going to be fair, objective and realistic. Because, objectively, this watch has a lot to offer.Reminder – the idea behind Code 11:59 By Audemars PiguetThirteen new references, six news models, three brand new calibres, including the much-awaited in-house integrated chronograph… The launch of this brand new collection at the SIHH 2019 was a major step in the history of Audemars Piguet, a new beginning of sorts, a disruptive choice that had nothin

Weekly Watch Photo - Bell & Ross wrist shots - Monochrome Watches
One of the type of watch photos that I really like, are the so-called wrist-shots. Photos of a watch on the wrist, in its natural habitat so to speak. Simon C is community manager of Bell & Ross and he frequently posts wrist-shots on his Facebook page.So I figured, let’s share Simon’s wrist-shots to give you an example of what’s possible. Simon C posts his photos here on Facebook, however there are more source to find wrist-shots, like Wristshot Facebook Group and following Twitter with hashtag #womw (meaning what’s on my wrist… or watch on my wrist). And the Friday Roll Call post, that I already used as source earlier like this magnificent Omega Seamaster PloProf. So now enjoy Simon’s wrist shots showing several Bell & Ross watches…. A big thanks to Simon C for letting me use his photos! Ad - Scroll to continue with article
TAG Heuer Aquaracer Calibre 5 Green Dial - Hands-On, Specs & Price
TAG Heuer is hugely popular for its automotive heritage and its racing chronographs. But the brand also has rich nautical and water-sport credentials, in particular with the Aquaracer dive watch collection. Launched in 2004/2005 as a direct descendant of the 2000 series, the Aquaracer line is now one of the pillars of the TAG Heuer portfolio. It comprises a variety of relatively accessible models. TAG Heuer has made a new addition to the collection with an emerald green Aquaracer Calibre 5.As you would have guessed, the most distinctive feature of this new take on the classic Aquaracer is its eye-catching vivid green dial. If colours are a matter of personal taste, it certainly brings a fresh, modern touch to the model - something quite different from the usual black of deep-blue dial. The dial's horizontal striped pattern is paired with luminescent markers and hands providing adequate contrast. The date indication at 3 o’clock is magnified by a cyclops lens. Ad - Scro
the Ulysse Nardin Freak X Aventurine (Specs & Price)
Ulysse Nardin's Freak watch of 2001 was a poster child for horological innovation. With its tiered construction, its spectacular 7-day flying carrousel tourbillon revolving on its axis on the dial and the distinction of being the first watch to incorporate silicium (silicon) technology, it gained immediate cult status. After countless iterations, Ulysse Nardin followed up with the Freak X in 2019, an entry-level watch for fans of the legendary Freak. Fitted with a baguette-shaped flying carrousel openworked movement, the Freak X retained the spirit of the spectacle of the first Freak but was fitted with a winding crown and offered at a more affordable price. During Watches & Wonders 2022, the model reappears with a sparkling blue aventurine background, as the Ulysse Nardin Freak X Aventurine.sparkling watersLike the sparkling waters a sailor might observe during a full Moon at sea, the aventurine glass on the dial references Ulysse Nardin's longstanding nautical ties.
